He has published more than 100 book chapters and articles, and he’s regularly recruited to lecture to medical societies around the world. In addition to private practice, Dr. Maas works as an associate clinical professor in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, Division of Facial Plastic Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco.

A member of the AAFPRS Faces of Honor Program, Dr. Maas believes in the value of community service. Through this initiative, he offers pro bono cosmetic surgical care to eligible veterans and active duty members who have sustained face, head, or neck injuries while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Dr. Maas has also performed pro bono consultations and surgery for victims of domestic violence through Face to Face: The National Domestic Violence Project. He is proud to have founded the highly successful “Beauty for Books” project, which collects more than one thousand books annually for financially challenged schools and children in San Francisco, Marin, and Truckee.

Biography: Courtney has a robust background and experience in aesthetic nursing. Beginning her career with a degree from UC Santa Barbara in Business Economics and starting her own business, she soon learned that her love and passions lie in helping people and hands-on interventions that change peoples’ lives. She went back to school to earn her BS in Nursing and graduated at top of her class. From there she worked at a plastic surgery office in aesthetics where she spent the last decade acquiring her expertise in injectables and non-surgical procedures. She devotedly brings all of these skills and passions to her patients at The Maas ClinicTM. When she is not at the Maas Clinic, Courtney enjoys spending quality time with her children, exploring the outdoors, and being grateful for the simple treasure’s life has to offer.
