Look at all the options

Hi Laila
You would have to be assessed by a practitioner and there are many options but they all depend on the makeup of the lesion – colour, vessels, depth etc – then you tailor your treatment according to those features. Another thing worth considering is Microskin – great company in Brisbane that offer a great makeup coverage that they colour match to you specifcally and then you put it on. Waterproof, lasts a week and my patients love it! Best of luck!

Hi gcrummitt1
Sorry to hear that you have had so many issues.
My advice would be to go and see your PCP as soon as possible, especially if you are having problems and there is an infection. You need to nip an infection in the bud and you should also be wearing compression garments that often help with the discharge and fluid!
Hope you are ok!

Hi there
If the sutures have been removed there should be no issues. If there is a stitch that is running between the inside of your eyelid and the outside you can either get it trimmed flush with the skin and allow the skin to heal over or you may have to see someone to have them remove it safely for you!
This can be done under local Anaesthtic and should not hurt at all. If in doubt go see your doctor. Hope that helps!

Hi Neowfl
Thanks for getting in touch. There are always risks associated with shaving of the thyroid cartilage considering its location and potential damage that can occur. Having said that, once one has performed the surgery, those risks significantly decrease. The risks can be minor such as scarring, bleeding, pain and recurrence/ uneven shave all the way through to recurrent laryngeal nerve damage and loss of voice and at the extreme compromised airway/ difficulty breathing. Make sure you…

Hi Rrae80
Thanks for getting in touch! I hope I can help even if its from far away. The first issue is your ongoing acne and this needs to be addressed with a full evaluation of your skin and skin care regime. There is no use performing procedures merely to have the acne recur. Secondly; lifetsyle e.g. smoking has to be stopped and you have to be guided on better skin care protocols and possible antibiotics/ antiproliferatives. Once this has all been sorted you then need to be examined and…

Hi Aarti
Thanks for getting in touch. There are many ways to remove the scar but in an area such as your back where the scar is not visible, I would recommend excising the scar (cutting it out) and repairing it with a good quality suture. Hope that helps!
