Thank you for your question. Yes you can have lipo if you have diastasis recti, however, as you stated, lipo will not correct diastasis recti, only a tummy tuck can correct that. Be sure to see a board certified plastic surgeon.

It is not always the number of procedures that matter, as much as it is the time you would be under anesthesia, as well as the down time you can allow yourself in order to heal. If you are set on not having one, you could get fat reduction with lipo, but you could end up with more skin laxity after. I would suggest an in person consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss the pros and cons of your options.

Muscle repair is not required for all patients, but for those with diastasis, or muscle separation, muscle repair would be performed during a tummy tuck. Most women need muscle repair after pregnancy. Based on your photos, I believe muscle repair would give you the best outcome. Please be sure to see a board certified plastic surgeon.
