Answer Snippet
What can I do about downturned, tired, sad-looking eyes?
Downturned eyelids
Apr 11, 2020
In this situation a lateral canthoplasty may be a reasonable option. You should have an in-person consultation with an oculoplastic surgeon for the best advice.
Is it possible to have Lasik surgery and eyelid surgery at the same time?
Lasik and blepharoplasty
Apr 29, 2019
The answer depends on your situation but most surgeons will advise you don't do these procedures at the same time.  Primarily because each can cause dryness of the eye surface.  With lasik, some of the corneal nerves can be temporarily injured, reducing your motivation to blink and distribute tears over the surface of the eye. It's not worth the risk of causing a problem that could potentially be avoided by doing these at separate times, preferably at least 6 months apart.
If I get Botox just in my elevens will it cause the rest of my forehead to wrinkle more t
Forehead after Botox
Mar 25, 2019
Hi,If you treat the glabella (the 11 lines) only, the forehead should not worsen, in fact it often gets better because the eyebrows lift slightly, eliminating the drive to raise the brows by tightening the forehead (frontalis muscle).  Some people exhibit something called muscle recruitment when the eyelid closing muscles try to take over for the glabella muscles that are not working as well.  But this doesnt impact the forehead.
Why are my eyes lower and higher then each other?
Eye asymmetry
Mar 25, 2019
It's difficult to tell from your photo but the most common cause of eye position asymmetry is a difference in the position of the orbit which is the bone around the eye.  If there is a skeletal asymmetry (very common) the eye height will appear different as will the hollowness around the eyes. There are some treatments to disguise the asymmetry (e.g. fillers) but the treatment for skeletal asymmetry may not be appropriate for everyone.
Do I need surgery to remove my eye bags?
Eye bags
Mar 25, 2019
The best remedy for your eye bags depends on the underlying cause. It could be allergy, prominent fat pads, or other issues that are best determined when you have an in-person consultation with a cosmetic eyelid specialist physician.  Based on your photo it is difficult to determine the cause.
Do lumpy results need more dissolving or more filler?
Lumpy after under-eye filler
Mar 25, 2019
Seeing lumps after under-eye filler could be from the filler itself or the filler's tendency to attract and retain water locally. It can be difficult to disguise lumps with more filler- often the best treatment is to dissolve the existing filler and then refill after the area has recovered, sometimes several weeks later. It's possible more than one session of dissolving is required.  This is all assuming you have an HA or hyaluronic acid based filler.
Suggestions on how to make my under eye area look better? I always look so tired. Had the
Under eye dark circles
Dec 24, 2018
You appear to have under-eye hollows that may be best reduced with fillers. Because you don't have any photos from the front view (they are all from above or below) it's difficult to give a definitive suggestion. Your best option is to have a consultation with an oculoplastic surgeon who specializes in cosmetic procedures and offers both non-surgical and surgical treatments. It's unlikely that PRP will help with your lower eyelid shadows and hollowing.
Is there any treatment that could make my downturned eyes look more cat-eye?
Lower eyelid / outer corner shape
Dec 24, 2018
The procedure you are simulating in your photos is a lateral canthoplasty. This repositions the outer corner eyelid angle.
I want to enlarge my eyes, but I don't want double eyelids. What can I do?
Larger eyes without double eyelids
Dec 24, 2018
Without seeing your images it is nearly impossible to give you a specific answer, but you should consider if you have ptosis and if you are looking for an enlargement of the eyelid aperture versus an apparent enlargement of the eyes by altering the eyelid platform/eyebrow relationship. An in-person consultation with an oculoplastic surgeon will help to analyze your needs.
Which blepharoplasty approach is best for me?
Blepharoplasty approach
Dec 24, 2018
It's clear that you have lower eyelid bags secondary to the fat pads. These can be directly improved with a transconjunctival blepharoplasty (behind the eyelid). It's difficult to determine the quality of your skin and degree of looseness based on your image which is not great resolution.  I'd suggest an in-person consultation to decide on techniques that can be combined with the fat pad reduction or repositioning.
What can be done about my bulgy eye?
Fillers instead of decompression
Dec 24, 2018
You should definitely have an evaluation by an oculoplastic surgeon to determine if you have proptosis, eyelid asymmetry, or both. It's possible that filler above the right eye could reduce the "platform show" and the upper lid sulcus to provide some improvement in symmetry.  Another consideration is a fat decompression instead of a full bony decompression.
Slight hooded eyes, will botox help lift and make my eyelids bigger?
Botox eyebrow lift
Dec 24, 2018
Botox or Dysport can give lift to the eyebrows but only if the eyelid closure muscle (orbicularis oculus) is pulling the brows downward and you haven't had a lot of Botox in the forehead muscle (frontalis).  It can lift the eyelids secondary to lifting the brows. Based on your photos you don't have eyelid hooding, it's possible you would achieve a slight improvement of the amount of eyelid platform visible but it's likely that it wouldn't be dramatic. Upper eyelid surgery would be more ...
Can you add Juvaderm Ultra Plus to lips that are aleady filled with Juvaderm Ultra?
Layering different types of Juvederm for lips
Dec 24, 2018
You can combine different types of Juvederm in the lips. Ultra Plus is a thicker filler than your original product, while it can create a plumper look it can also be more prone to cause lumps that you can feel or possibly see.
Would eyelid excessive skin removal be sufficient for me?
Upper eyelid skin lift
Dec 18, 2018
It's difficult to assess your needs from you photo because the angle was taken from above you which makes it appear that you're looking down. It does seem that you have excess upper eyelid skin that would be corrected with upper blepharoplasty.  Other related procedures could also be done but a full in-person consultation with an oculoplastic surgeon is advised.
Botox or fillers for skin bunching when smiling?
Bunching under eyes when smiling
Oct 24, 2018
Based on the photos you shared, your cheeks are elevating when you smile (this is normal) and with your anatomy, as the cheek mound moves upward it is accentuating the under-eye hollows.  Dysport or Botox would reduce the "crow's feet" at the outer corners of the eyelids and could reduce the roll just under the eyelashes when you smile but it wouldn't affect the "cheek shelf".  Some under-eye filler can blend the lower lid hollows to the cheek area to a degree but not completely.  Surg...
