What to about a bald spot in my hair?
Topical Products can Help
Mar 2, 2018
Mar 2, 2018
Nothing is a substitute for seeing a Hair Restoration Specialist. Bald spots (alopecia) can be due to a number of causes. To take of the appearance right away, you can apply topical product that covers the area and makes it difficult to see even up close (Topix). Topical minoxidil can be helpful to regrow hair and is available over the counter.
Top 4 questions I ask:

Will hairs that are lost during combing grow back?
Changing the Way You Care for Your Hair May Be All That You Need
Mar 2, 2018
Mar 2, 2018
Many women and men traumatize their hair with combing, brushing, coloring, straightening or pulling into ponytail or braids. All of these can result in breakage of the hair and if it occurs at the hair-skin junction can result in bald spots (alopecia). If the hair doesn't grow back within the next few months, do seek a professional opinion. Seeing a lot of hair in your comb, brush or shower can also be due to stress, changes in hormone status or development of a medical disorder like thyroid...
Is menopausal hair thinning permanent with or without HRT intervention?
Hair loss is very common around menopause and does not need to be permanent
Feb 9, 2018
Feb 9, 2018
I would recommend a consultation with a hair specialist who works closely with and HRT specialist. HRT needs to be carefully implemented in doses that are individualized for you to achieve the correct balance of estrogen, progesterone and testosterone. Biotin supplementation is also helpful. Common lab assessment also includes thyroid function testing and vitamin D levels. To help jump start the follicles that have now gone into dormancy, consider injections with platelet rich plasma (PRP)....
4 days post-Juvederm injections unusual lump: would massage help reduce this lump? (Photos
Your Lips Look Great !
Oct 6, 2017
Oct 6, 2017
Lumps, bruising, swelling all part of the process. You can massage to get the product to flatten but if you massage too much you can move the product out of the lips or change the shape in a way you don't like.
Call your provider and get an appointment for a few weeks from now - if still present tiny injections with hyaluronidase can be helpful. Consider a different filler next time.

Can Restylane in tear troughs/cheeks/lips cause swelling 9 months afterwards spontaneously
You are Having a Delayed Hypersensitivity Reaction to Restylane
Oct 6, 2017
Oct 6, 2017
All of the hyaluronic acid products can cause this delayed inflammatory reaction. Restylane is easier to dissolve than Juvederm and less reactive around the eyes. The most reactive products are the short chain products like Voluma and Vobella.
Once this reaction occurs, it can take a long time to get the swelling to completely resolve. The treatment involves a combination of oral steroids, oral antihistamines and dissolution of the product with hyaluronidase. Injections of steroids can...

Looks Like a Mild Erbium Laser was Performed
Oct 6, 2017
Oct 6, 2017
Normally, a fractionated CO2 laser will create a more dramatic post-treatment effect and a better long-term improvement. Looks like you may have received Erbium laser instead. I would connect with your provider and clarify what was done and what you are trying to achieve with the treatment.
One eye protrudes more than the other? Could I have juvederm injected below the larger eye
I would pursue additional evaluation
Oct 6, 2017
Oct 6, 2017
Eyes that protrude forward can be due to something going on behind the eye like autoimmune disease (thyroid is the most common), benign masses or even cancer. Pursue a complete eye evaluation with an Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon.
A CT scan of the orbits can show the area behind your eye and determine whether the fat is expanded, the muscles are enlarged or other findings.
Even if all turns out to be fine and this is just a natural asymmetry, I don't think fillers are your best...
