I’m allergic to mold. Can Juvederm cause me to have a reaction because of my allergy?

Thanks for your question. Your mold allergy will not cause a reaction if you choose to have Juvederm injections. Juvederm is made with Hyaluronic Acid which is found naturally in the soft tissues of your body. If your skin is cleansed with alcohol before the procedure and sterile technique is used by your Plastic Surgeon, mold should not be introduced during your treatment.
6 months post op and started having pain under my nipple. Should I be concerned?

It is common to have a temporary decrease in sensation in a small patch of breast skin between the underside of the nipple and the breast crease after breast augmentation. This returns to normal after several months in most patients. It is very unusual to have any changes in nipple sensation.
In your case, it is possible that return of sensation to this area is causing your symptoms. This would be the best case scenario.

I ask my patients to wait 3-6 months after breast-feeding before undergoing breast augmentation. Waiting allows the breast to undergo postpartum involution (decrease in size and fullness after the breast stops making milk). Choosing your implant and having surgery after this change has occurred will give you a better and longer lasting result. It may also decrease certain risks associated with breast implants such as capsule contracture and infection.

Yes, I ask all my patients to stop smoking 6 weeks before surgery and to continue for 6 weeks after breast augmentation. This will decrease the risk of wound healing complications and decrease the risk of infection. It will also decrease risks associated with undergoing general anesthesia. I hope this helps.
