Admittedly, the published evidence for scar massage is weak. Having said that, we educate our patients on scar massage in great detail and have seen beautiful results with this. We feel it is a very important part of scar management. Aside from massage, there are several other modalities including silicone scar gel, sheeting and taping. You would be a good candidate for an open rhinoplasty but, as with all rhinoplasties, the details of the surgery and what can be achieved are highly individualized. You will need a comprehensive examination by a rhinoplasty expert. Often, 3D imaging can also help to align your goals with what is possible.

Thanks for the question. An infection in this area can happen and should be properly assessed. Often I will receive a series of photos from a patient and can guide them this way. I would suggest you call your plastic surgeon and ask if sending a few photos would be appropriate.

Thank you for your question. This is very difficult to assess without a photo and comprehensive examination. In many cases the problem you describe can be significantly improved simply by removing tissue from the lower part of the breast. In many cases, though, a revision of the entire anchor incision is necessary. This will also allow for improved shape and perhaps a better long-term result. Certainly, the next step is a comprehensive exam with an experienced plastic surgeon.

Thanks for the question and photos. From the photos, It looks like an abdominoplasty could definitely help with your concerns. A comprehensive exam by an experienced plastic surgeon Would give you a much better idea if a mini abdominoplasty or full abdominoolsty would be best for you.
