Thank you for your question and photo. I would highly recommend that you meet with your surgeon to discuss a revision if you are not completely happy. Best of luck, Dr. Heffernan

blephs
May 28, 2019
Thank you for your question and photos. I think you are healing very well at the 2 week recovery stage. Minimal bruising and swelling. Keep applying ointment to that area on your right upper eyelid and it will heal nicely. Best of luck, Dr. Heffernan
Eye bags after blepharoplasty. Is this normal? What can I do?
lower bleph
May 28, 2019
Thank you for your question and photo. It is hard to say without a pre op photo. However, you do have some swelling in that area that will probably subside 4-6 months post operatively. I would wait until that time discuss a revision with your surgeon. Best of luck, Dr. Heffernan

Lower lid retraction
May 28, 2019
Thank you for your question and photo. If you have not had a blepharoplasty procedure than unfortunately it is probably due to genetics. Your eye shape can change during puberty and maybe you should consult with a oculofacial plastic surgeon to discuss your goals. Best of luck, Dr. Heffernan
Blepharoplasty stitches on only one lid not in crease and way too high. Thought?
upper blephs
May 28, 2019
Thank you for your question and photos. Yes it appears that your one scar line is visible and not in the crease of your natural eyelid. However, you are only 3 weeks post op and are still healing. That scar may fade to your liking, and if not I would discuss scar revision with your surgeon at about the 5 month mark. Best of luck, Dr. Heffernan
Surgery or other method to decrease interocular distance?
Eyes
May 28, 2019
Thank you for your question and photos. I would highly recommend consulting with an oculofacial plastic surgeon to discuss your goals. That is a very specific and hard question to answer without a face to face consult. Best of luck, Dr. Heffernan
Is the second upper eyelid surgery safe? Is it only way to achieve the better results?
upper bleph or brow lift
May 28, 2019
Thank you for your question and photo. You don't say what your first procedure was... but I am assuming you had upper lid blepharoplasty. I highly recommend consulting with an oculofacial plastic surgeon to discuss your needs. It appears to me that you might benefit with a brow lift to decrease your upper eyelid hooding. Best of luck, Dr. Heffernan

Post Op Blephs
May 28, 2019
Thank you for your question and photo. I would strongly recommend that you follow up with your surgeon as it appears that you might be having an allergic reaction to an ointment that you are applying to your eyelids. It is not too common to have those symptoms you described 6 weeks post op. You should be healing and feeling better at this point in your recovery. Best of luck, Dr. Heffernan
Is my double eyelid surgery going the way I want?
Swelling Question
Apr 29, 2019
Thank you for your question. Based on your photo it appears that you are healing in the right direction. You do have some residual swelling which is normal and will subside usually around 9-12 months. I recommend that you follow up with your surgeon and discuss. Best of luck, Dr. Heffernan
Should I get darkness under my eyes following Botox to the lower lid and crows feet?
Botox
Apr 29, 2019
Thank you for your question and photo. Botox would not be the cause for dark circles under eyes. I would return to your injector and discuss results. Best of luck, Dr. Heffernan

Lip Filler
Apr 29, 2019
Thank you for your question. Based on the photo you submitted, it appears that maybe your doctor injected too superficially and not deep enough. The blue tint will disappear with time, however if it bothers you, you can have it dissolved. Best of luck, Dr. Heffernan
Is it normal to swell this bad after lip injections? Or am I having a bad reaction?
Restylane
Apr 29, 2019
Thank you for your question and photos. I am sorry you are feeling this way. However, it appears you have very normal lip swelling after Restylane injections. Keep icing them, and you can also take Benadryl to bring the swelling down quicker. Wait two weeks and then follow up with your doctor. I hope you like the end result. Best of luck, Dr. Heffernan
Swollen lip, lumps or doctor mistake?
lip filler
Apr 29, 2019
Thank you for your question. I would not be too concerned with the swelling at this point. That is very normal after lip filler procedure. I would wait a full two weeks and then follow up with your surgeon. Best of luck, Dr. Heffernan
What is the best option to heal my acne scars?
Acne Scars
Apr 29, 2019
Thank you for your question. Based on the photo you submitted I would recommend Fraxel laser and/or micro needling. Please see a board certified dermatologist for an in person consult. Best of luck, Dr. Heffernan

Post Op Care
Apr 23, 2019
Thank you for your question and photo. Based on your 5 day post op photo, you are healing well and headed in the right direction. I always tell patients the swelling will subside everyday for about 2-3 months. Hang in there. Best of luck, Dr. Heffernan
