Answer Snippet
Does a direct brow lift or endoscopic brow lift yield the best results?
Endoscopic brow lift in Men
Jul 30, 2019
In my opinion, endoscopic brow lift, when done well, is far superior to a direct browpexy. It is more natural and gives a longer result. In my experience endoscopic brow lifts on men can be extremely rewarding for the patients.
What procedure would lift and make brows symmetrical?
uneven brows
Jul 30, 2019
Thank you for your photo and question. Brows are best examined in person, however going just from your photos I do think that you would be a good candidate for an endoscopic brow lift.I would suggest a consultation to fully evaluate the upper eyelids and brow and also how you are using the muscles around them.
I have had uneven brows for years. Is there a fix?
Uneven Brows
Jul 30, 2019
Thank you for your question and photo. It is difficult to evaluate brow position from a photo. Three different facial muscles can affect brow height, and sometimes uneven brows are from uneven activation of these muscles.I would suggest a consultation so that your brows can be fully evaluated.
Is it uncommon for some skin to be removed during an endoscopic brow lift?
Endoscopic brow lift
Jul 30, 2019
Thank you for your question. In my experience I do not remove skin during an endoscopic brow lift. With my surgical technique I am able to raise the temporal brow in a natural and long lasting way without having to remove skin.
I’m 35 and interested in a brow lift to look more awake, move my brows up and help with deep lines
Brow lift
Jul 30, 2019
Thank you for your question and photos, After reviewing your photos I would suggest an upper lid blepharoplasty combined with botox to help raise the brows. You do have a long forehead so an endoscopic brow lift is not a great choice. But you could achieve a refreshed look by removing some of the heavy skin from the upper lid and using botox to lift the brow.
What is the difference between a brow plexy and a brow lift?
Browpexy vs Endoscopic Brow Lift
Jul 30, 2019
A browpexy is done through an upper lid incision and attached the brow to the underlying tissues in the forehead. And endoscopic brow lift is done through 4 small incision behind the hairline, and lifts the brow and forehead together.I do not perform browpexy except in very specific circumstances when the patient can not have an endoscopic brow lift. In my opinion, the brow lift gives a more natural result and is much longer lasting.
What do you think about a brow lift or blepharoplasty?
Brow lift vs. Blepharoplasty
Jul 30, 2019
Thank you for your question and photos. It is difficult to tell from the photo if you would be a better candidate for a brow lift, a blepharoplasty or both. The brow exam is best done in person. This allows me to examine your brow in greater detail. The brow is dynamic, meaning it is always in motion with expression and also can change position based on how much a patient is expressing using different facial muscles.Looking at the photos, I would say that you are definitely a great candidate...
Under eye bags after double blepharoplasty getting more noticable - Should it be a concern?
Swelling after Blepharopalsty
Jul 24, 2019
Thank you for your question and photos. At 5 weeks you can still have mild swelling of the lower eyelids. If the swelling is not improving as you heal or is getting worse I would let your surgeon know. There are things that can be done to help swelling as patients heal.
Do I have ptosis? When I asked my physician he only says I look great and nothing is nothing wrong
Do I have Ptosis?
Jul 24, 2019
Thank you for your photos and question. From the photos you do not have ptosis. You do have mild lower lid retraction, most likely secondary to your lower eyelid blepharoplasty. I would suggest treating your dry eye with a board certified oculoplastic surgeon or ophthalmologist.
Best treatment for dark circles/bags?
Lower Eyelid Bags
Jul 24, 2019
Thank you for your question and photos. I would suggest a subcilliary lower eyelid blepharoplasty with a technique called the obicularis muscle suspension. This would allow the laxity of the deeper structures of the eyelid to be restored to their youthful position. It would also address the festoons.
6 days post Juvederm lip injections- blanched lumps
Lip Filler
Mar 14, 2019
Thank you for your question and photos. I would suggest calling the doctor that did the injections and have your lips looked at. It is not expected, in my experience, for those lumps to look as they do and also to be getting bigger.
How can I cure a deep scar between my nose and the right eye? It is at the corner
deep scar
Mar 14, 2019
Thank you for your question and photo. I would suggest filler to correct the scar. In my experience this should give you a nice result.
Ptosis or extra skin?
eyelid surgery
Mar 14, 2019
Thank you for your question and photographs. I would suggest an in person consultation with an oculoplastic surgeon. The poor vision is typically not caused by ptosis or excess skin, so this also needs to be looked into. In your evaluation the position of the eyelid and how it moves will be measured.
Temporal Brow Lift - How important is where is the incision placed?
temporal brow lift
Mar 14, 2019
It is extremely important where the incision is made for a temporal brow lift. The position of the incision allows the surgeon to be in the correct surgical plane to achieve the desired result. To do a temporal brow lift correctly requires a very clear and deep understanding of the anatomy of the brow and forehead area. So when choosing a surgeon, it is important to see their before and after photos of the same procedure and to know how many brow-lifts they perform a year.
Pain 5 days after Juvederm XC. Is this to be expected?
Pain after Lip Fillers
Mar 14, 2019
Some discomfort is expected after fillers to the lip area. In my experience the soreness usually resolves after a few days. I would be in touch with the doctor that did the injections to let him know what is going on if the soreness persists or gets worse.
