Answer Snippet
Can I achieve less sagging and a better shape with just implants and areola reduction?
Mastopexy ve Mastopexy augmentation
Nov 16, 2020
You are not alone in asking this question….
Many women are thinking am I really happy with my current breast size or do I want a lift only.
The revision rate of a Mastopexy Augmentation is around 30% – however if you are overall happy with your volume then a mastopexy will suffice – if you are unhappy with the volume then an implant will be needed and sometimes it is better to perform the mastopexy and then decide and commonly women are actually quite happy if they have reasonable volume…
My GP has advised a tummy tuck. What procedure would you recommend?
Abdominoplasty and Breast lift
Nov 16, 2020
Both of these procedures can be performed together and liposuction is often done at the same time – particularly to your flank region.
With a traditional abdominoplasty you would not be able to remove all of the stretch marks on your abdomen particularly those above your belly button. This would need to be addressed through a Fleur de lys if this was of major concern to you.
Rectus plication will aid in the rectus divarication.
The Plastic surgeon will have a full discussion with you about…
Can I get a tummy tuck and chin augmentation one week apart?
Why 2 operations
Nov 16, 2020
Hi these could both be done in the same operation if you wished and do not necessarily need to be done in separate procedures.
A Plastic surgeon who is skilled can perform both.
Kind regards
I already have breast implants. Am I able to get a “light” lift like a donut lift and keep my impl
Breast lift possible
Nov 16, 2020
A breast lift is possible without removing the implants – this is a common condition and is called the waterfall effect – the breast tissue falls off the implant and needs to be repositioned.
There are a number of things to consider:1. Position of the implant on the chest wall and which plane2. Excess tissue – vertical or also horizontal excess which may require skin excision inferior to the nipple to reposition and tighten. 3. Are you happy with your current size.
Many surgeons would be…
Is muscle plication repair included in the cost of a full tummy tuck?
Rectus divarication
Nov 16, 2020
In my practice a full tummy tuck includes the repair of the rectus divarication through plication and not normally a ‘add on’ just part of the procedure. It may work differently for different practitioners if they do not need to do the plication – so I would just check with the second surgeon if this is planned in the surgery.
Kind regards
I’ve been told I need an FDL 360 TT. Do I?
Vertical vs horizontal excess
Nov 16, 2020
Part of your answer lies in what you are willing to accept post-operatively.
It is true that you have both vertical and horizontal excess tissue which would be better dealt with a FDL however many women do not want the vertical scar associated with this.
If you can understand the limitations and benefits of both then I think you would be happy with either procedure.
FDL leaves a long vertical abdominal scar and the traditional abdominoplasty scar – the benefit is that the excess central…
