What are the pros and cons of removing the L-shaped silicone in my nose?
Nasal silicone implant removal
Apr 9, 2020
Hello!Removing silicone is easy but you will lose all the benefits from the implant. If you want to maintain those benefits cartilage grafting is recommended and should not cause the unnatural feeling you have with silicone. Good luck and stay safe!
Changing nose radix (nasion) height and width?
Altering radix height
Apr 9, 2020
Hello!Radix grafts with cartilage are typically used to increase radix height. Depending on your nose (without photos everything is general of course) septal cartilage or rib may be needed. Permanent fillers are NOT used in the nose and fillers in that region in general have a higher risk of causing blindness and necrosis than elsewhere in the face. Good luck and stay safe!
How to correct wide harsh dorsal aesthetic lines in revision rhinoplasty?
revision rhinoplasty
Apr 9, 2020
Hello! It is impossible to give specific advice without knowing what was done and seeing photos. Irregularities of bone or cartilage can occur after rhinoplasty and can be masked with subcision, filler injection or revision with temporalis or cartilage grafting to disguise. Truly wide nasal bones require osteotomies, but there are limits to how narrow the nasal pyramid can be and still support adequate function. I recommend a consultation with an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon to review…
Can I get botox/filler to make my nostrils not flare?
Nostril flare
Apr 9, 2020
Hello! The width of the nostrils will always increase with smiling due to the fact that the cheeks move laterally with a smile and the nostrils are attached to the cheek. Your photos are taken from different angles but if you are unhappy with the drop of the tip with smiling or nostril flare while breathing or at rest rhinoplasty will help. Botox is not typically administered to reduce the width of the smile as it would make your facial movements seem unnatural. Your smile is quite wide and…
Is filler between the eyebrows in the glabella area dangerous?
Filler in Glabella
Aug 8, 2019
Hello! The risks you are referring to involve the particles of filler occluding or shutting down vessels. This can result in skin death, scarring and blindness. While rare, the glabella is one of the areas most commonly associated with this risk and many injectors are understandably reluctant to inject there without full consent on the part of the patient to accept the risks. Cannulas may decrease the risk but will not entirely eliminate it, as skin death has been reported in cases where…
