Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) for Hair Restoration

This is a wonderful treatment for those who have noticed thinning or recent hair loss, due to stress, postpartum, aging. 


The PRP treatment for the scalp involves drawing blood from the patient’s arm (about 22 mL). The tube of blood is put in a centrifuge to separate the red blood cells from the plasma. The plasma rich in platelets is then injected directly into the scalp at the level of the hair follicles in the desired areas. 


For the most part, there’s no risk associated with the PRP. There could be some discomfort, but numbing cream or ice can be used to minimize pain. 


Early intervention gets a better result. For the best result, consistency is key. Treatments are typically performed once a month for the first three or four months, and then every three to six months thereafter, depending on the patient’s response and results.

An excellent question for a very confusing area of the body!

There are two primary areas of the mid face to rejuvenate: the area below the eyes and the area to the side of the eyes.

I would definitely see a board certified plastic surgeon to assess your mole, especially if it is a large one. Larger pigmented moles, even those present at birth, do have a potential for degeneration to cancerous moles.

It is not appropriate in such a case to laser or treat the mole for its appearance alone. Imagine missing a melanoma on a young patient!

In the case of very large moles, there are various options to remove all of the mole, or part of it in combination with a biopsy.

You have pretty eyes and there are normal asymmetries between the two eyes, a very mild version of orbital dystopia.
Be careful of having surgery for things that aren't necessary. Either the results will be so subtle that you'll be unhappy, or perhaps a real problem will ensue after the surgery. This is especially likely if your perception of the problem is greater than the problem actually is.
I hope you won't join the ranks of patients who are unhappy with their barely necessary surgery!

We have many patients , male and female, who are bald. They have had excellent results with a facelift. There are a several tricks to hiding incisions while preserving normal anatomy, ie ears, direction of pull, tragus etc. Also, while you have had a nice weight loss, you have lost volume in key areas of the face. This should ideally also be addressed during your facelift.

While performing a lip lift could pull down on the columellar tissue, the problem is a lack of volume in that area. Typically a cartilage graft is necessary. Remember that that area is very tight, so expectations must be realistic.
