Is Pelleve safe when you have acne?
Pellevé® RF Wrinkle Reduction can be safe for those with acne.
Jun 4, 2019
Pellevé RF Wrinkle Reduction uses radiofrequency energy in the form of electromagnetic waves to stimulate collagen development through heat in the dermal and subdermal tissue. This can translate to the reduced appearance of wrinkles. Because there is no injury to the skin’s surface, like there would be with microneedling, Pellevé is suitable for those suffering from acne. Of course, every situation is different, so your best course of action would be to schedule a consultation with a q…
Accidental sun damage after IPL and laser, is it permanent?
Check with your provider to be safe.
May 29, 2019
Hello and thank you for your question. It sounds like you took all the right precautions to protect yourself from the sun. Have you used that sunscreen before? It may be possible that you are having a physical reaction to the products you were using, or maybe you did not reapply enough. The best to rule out any issues or further sun damage is to contact your qualified provider and let them know what you are experiencing. Make sure you are using a sunblock that contains zinc oxide or titanium…
2 days post-op. I had Botox injected into both upper eyelids for twitching. Still no improvemen
Give the BOTOX® some more time to work.
May 1, 2019
Hello, thanks for sharing your question. It can take up to two weeks to see the full effects of BOTOX, so don’t be discouraged if you’re not seeing improvements just yet. I’d suggest waiting a few more days before checking with your provider about your results. It’s better to start with less, because you can always add more. If you’re still not seeing an improvement around the two-week mark, you can always talk to your provider about adding a bit more BOTOX to achieve the desired effect. G…
When can I thread my face/eyebrows after microneedling?
Threading facial hair after microneedling.
Mar 29, 2019
Your face will likely be tender, pinkish and slightly swollen immediately after your microneedling treatment and you may experience minor inflammation for several days after your appointment. It would be advisable to wait at least a week or until your symptoms subside before you consider threading your facial hair. While you’re at your microneedling appointment, speak to your professional about when you’d like to thread your facial hair and they will be able to tell you with greater clarity…
Are these smile lines? What treatment is needed and how much?
You could be a good candidate for injectable fillers.
Feb 6, 2019
Hi there. While it’s difficult to tell from your picture where your trouble spots seem to be, generally speaking, fillers can very nicely smooth away smile lines and other wrinkles in the mid-face area. Fillers can last anywhere from about 6 to 18 months or more, depending on the type of filler you choose. If this is your first time getting fillers, I would recommend starting with hyaluronic acid, since it can be dissolved with a special enzyme if you don’t like your results for any rea…
Why does a laser jump during laser hair removal?
Lasers target the pigment in skin and tattoos.
Feb 6, 2019
Great question. Laser hair removal works by targeting the pigment in your hair follicle, which heats it and disables it. If you have a nearby tattoo, it is possible that the laser could target the pigment in the ink and cause permanent damage to your tattoo. This is why your LHR provider made sure your tattoo and other areas were covered before proceeding.
Microneedling with PRP and exercising?
Give yourself at least a day off of strenuous exercise.
Jan 8, 2019
Great question, thanks for sharing it here. It’s best to avoid very strenuous exercise for at least 12 to 24 hours after each microneedling session to help reduce redness, bruising and swelling. If you do your cardio workouts outside, you’ll need to wear sunscreen, but you should never apply anything to your face before getting the okay from your doctor. All in all, you should be able to resume your normal workout schedule the next day.
