What treatment would you recommend to widen smile?
My Opinion
Mar 17, 2021
Any orthodontic appliance can help to give you a wider smile. However, if you were my patient I would suggest Invisalign. I’m assuming you are very aware of the other clear aligner companies, hence why you used “clear aligners” versus “invisalign”. The reason I recommend Invisalign specifically is because they are best. The have been around the longest, their technology research and development is head and shoulders better than all the other companies. This matters because make tooth…
I want to avoid extractions. IPR vs arch expansion, thoughts?
It can be done
Mar 17, 2021
Hey there, I believe you can definitely resolve your upper and lower crowding without extractions. You have moderate to severe upper and lower crowding, the cool thing about your situation is your teeth are all leaning in toward the palate at the top and the tongue on the bottom making them appear more crowded than they actually are. By uprighting the molars and premolars you’ll gain signficant space. Once they have been uprighted, the upper and lower incisors can be properly angled to…
Should I be worried about my short roots if using Invisalign?
short but not SHORT
Mar 11, 2021
Hey there,Yeah there is some shortening of the roots on the centrals. All orthodontists would like you to have a 2:1 Root to Crown ratio however sometimes ideal isn’t an option. There is always a chance the root could become shorter throughout orthodontic treatment with any type of treatment (traditional or invisalign). The likelihood of you actually losing the the upper teeth would be very low. Especially under the care of a local orthodontist.
Will Invisalign be able to close my middle gap and open space on my 2nd gap for my missing lateral t
Yep
Mar 11, 2021
Invisalign in the hands of a well trained Orthodontist can do some really amazing things. My suggestion is find a local orthodontist that you vibe with state your concerns and yall come up with a plan and get you to your happy smile ASAP! Smile Big!
What can be done to fix the slant in my teeth? Can aligners help?
I think so!
Mar 11, 2021
Hey there,I feel like a trained Orthodontist will be able to find a solution for the cant “slant” you are referring to. More than likely there is a underlying skeletal cause but in a lot of cases there are straightforward ways to help camouflage the problem. Clear aligner would definitely be able to help. Just make sure you are linking up with a well trained Orthodontist that feels comfortable achieving your goals with aligners!Smile BIG
Can Invisalign treatment be diagnosed with only an FMX?
Might Need a Bit More…
Mar 10, 2021
Hey! I personally haven’t heard of providers using only FMX radiographs for Invisalign diagnosing. Most of the time, full extraoral and intraoral photos will be needed, along with some type of impression (typically that’s a digital scan) to be able to identify an Invisalign treatment plan.
Is 19 too young for Botox for non-comestic reasons?
Treat the Pain Now!
Mar 10, 2021
Hi there! No, 19 years old is definitely not too young to treat TMJ with Botox. It’s actually a good age to address your concerns instead of waiting and the side effects worsen. If you don’t want to do Botox treatment long term, you might want to look into orthognathic surgery as a more permanent fix for your jawline’s asymmetry.
