Dr. Lee specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast, body, and face, including breast augmentation, abdominoplasty, facelifts, and body lifts, as well as blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) and rhinoplasty. Additionally, he offers a wide range of nonsurgical treatments, including dermal fillers and neuromodulators like Botox, chemical peels, scalp therapy, and laser skin resurfacing.

After graduating medical school from the University of Western Australia in 1993, Dr Lee completed internship and residency at Royal Perth Hospital with rotations through General, Orthopaedic and Cardiac Surgery. Following this he completed a five-year Fellowship Training in Plastic Surgery at Royal Perth Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital for Children. He also pursued a fellowship in Microsurgery, Head and Neck Surgery and Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery in Oxford UK at the Radcliffe Infirmary. His time in Oxford also included teaching medical students anatomy at Trinity College , University of Oxford.

Dr. Lee is fellowship certified (Board Certified) by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery). He is a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), as well as a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS).

When Dr. Lee is not helping his patients reach their aesthetic goals, he is educating future generations of plastic surgeons through speaking and authoring numerous papers in the plastic surgery literature. Two of his papers have won Best paper Awards in 2015 and 2021. He has presented papers at multiple international and Australian meetings and authored a book chapter in the Oxford Textbook of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Lee has helped organize and lead multiple surgical missions to developing countries, where he surgically treats congenital malformations in children who may otherwise not have access to such procedures.

You would get a great result with a facelift platysmaplasty ( neck lift)) may not be necessary but I can’t see on the photos a true lateral.

Don’t rush into any surgical solutions at your age. There are plenty of non surgical fillers etc that may help to sculpt areas of your face that concern you.

That discoloured area is very unusual. If haemosiderin staining a dermatologist may be able to improve with chemical or laser. Lower blepharoplasty also my help. Facelift not likely to help.

Although your concerns are possible, patient transfer , positioning and safety is paramount for most operating room staff. I am sure if you address your concerns directly to anaesthetist they will be extra careful.

From your photos I can see the early jowls are breaking up the beautiful youthful curve of the jawline. I think a short scar facelift would give some lasting correction to this but I don’t think you need a neck lift from what I can see. Can certainly wait a few years though

I can understand your frustration if you feel you were subject to a procedure that you didn’t consent to. I would suggest you book a new appointment with your surgeon to discuss your concerns. I would still think there will be some settling and reduction in volume so don’t despair too much. Be patient, but if it doesn’t settle after a few months some careful liposuction or lipodisolve injections may help
