Doctor’s answers

Question
Answer Header & Date
Answer Snippet
Can I get it done again following my botched rhinoplasty in 2011?
Revision rhinoplasty
Jul 8, 2020
You are certainly justified in desiring a revision rhinoplasty. I would suggest that you use a different surgeon who is extensively experienced in revision rhinoplasty. Difficult to say how to best approach your nose without studying your operative note and an in person exam. best of luck
My eyes are very droopy and have a negative tilt. Blepharoplasty with ptosis repair and canthopexy
Male blepharoplasty
Jun 27, 2020
You do not have eyelid ptosis but some degree of brow ptosis which is very common for men. Your upper blepharoplasty needs to be conservative to account for the future possibility of a brow lift. You do have negative cantal tilt which is fixable with a canthopexy from the upper lid incision
Neck aging at 44. What is my best option for loosened skin under my chin?
neck laxity
Jun 25, 2020
Based on your photos and your age I feel your best course of treatment would be with the combination of radio frequency skin tightening and liposuction. These are office based procedures and would certainly address your issues with minimal downtime. I would search out a provider that has the imode face tite device.
I want to know which nose job is good for me and what is its cost range?
rhinoplasty
May 27, 2020
Thanks for the question. I would not have concerns about healing and care for a full rhinoplasty compared to an open tip rhinoplasty. Based on the photos shown you would be best treated with a full rhinoplasty to balance all aspects of your nasal shape. A detailed in person evaluation is necessary with an experienced surgeon to communicate your desires and have appropriate expectations. Costs can vary widely regionally and based on surgeon experience
How could I improve my facial asymmetry?
Facial Asymmetry
May 15, 2020
The asymmetry I note on your photo is your cheek contour. This could be underlying differences in bone or soft tissue. In either case it could be improved with a deep filler such as Voluma or Bellafill
Could I go from an A cup to an F cup? Is that a possible outcome?
Breast augmentation
May 15, 2020
Going from A to F cup is a difficult assessment to make in the absence of photos and potentially even with photos. Based on my years of experience its is unlikely to be able to accomplish that in a single operation. You made need to augment and then upsize to F cup at a second procedure
What are the different techniques in eyelid surgery and which one lasts the longest?
Upper bleph
May 4, 2020
You are an excellent candidate for a standard upper blepharoplasty. those scars should be well hidden and fade to imperceptible over a couple of months
Is there an alternative to upper eyelid surgery that I could try first?
Upper eyelids
May 3, 2020
There are some noninvasive modalities such as radio frequency skin tightening and Botox for brow elevation. Unfortunately with your skin laxity directly is in your upper lid crease which is much more effectively treated with surgery. The good news is that is a simple office surgery with little down time so I would certainly recommend it. Good luck
Which should I go for to get a more natural result? 400cc, 375cc, or smaller?
Breast implant sizing
Apr 30, 2020
As others have answered there are many factors that go into determining an optimal implant size for each patient. That said, I’m not hesitant to suggest that based on your height and weight as a petite woman that the smaller of those implants is likely the better long term result for you. If you are unsure then I would have a follow up consult to resize with your surgeon. Best of luck
What radio frequency treatment should I have to tighten the skin on my face?
Radio Frequency skin tightening
Apr 18, 2020
Radio frequency treatment is definitely more aggressive than skin pen. At age 35 it is unlikely that you need subdermal RF, such as Face Tite. I would recommend Morpheus RF microneedling
What’s an aggressive skin tone/tightening for menopausal 55 year old athletic woman with complicate
skin tightening
Apr 13, 2020
I noticed you had a year old unanswered question and with the additional time we have thought I would give you my best answer. The development of better quality radio frequency skin tightening should be of real benefit to you. I would recommend Inmode body tite which is what I have in my office and thus far am very pleased with it. This is bipolar radio frequency that is minimally invasive and done under local anesthesia. There are numerous providers in your area,…
What can I do about a completely uneven face? I plan on a rhinoplasty/septoplasty but what can I do
Nose and face assymetry
Apr 12, 2020
I agree that a septorhinoplasty is your best solution to your crooked nose and will allow for tip improvement and airway improvement as well. you do have some degree of cheek volume asymmetry and one or two mm of enopthalmos. Options to correct cheek volume are injectables, fat graft, or a cheek implant. I would not recommend correcting a mild degee of enopthalmos
Would I be a candidate for an upper blepharoplasty, brow lift and forehead reduction?
Forehead reduction
Apr 8, 2020
You will address both areas of concern with a hairline brow lift combined with scalp advancement to lower your hairline. I would do this operation under general anesthesia at a surgery center. It will leave you with numbness of your central scalp that will partially improve over time
What does dense breast tissue mean for a breast augmentation patient?
Dense breast tissue
Apr 3, 2020
Dense breast tissue is not a typically a problem for implant placement. At worst if the implant is place subglandular in a thin person then there may be some palpable or visible step off between the dense tissue and the implant.
Should canthopexy always be performed with lower bleph (fat repositioning) to maintain eyelid shape
Is Canthopexy mandatory
Apr 3, 2020
The short answer is no. The need for canthopexy is dependent on technique and the patients anatomy. In most cases where I do a trasconjunctival approach, it is because there is little overall lid laxity and there will be minimal skin excision. In more aggressive cases with muscle division and /or release of insertions at the orbital rim, and/or existing lid laxity then a canthopexy is appropriate
