Botox and Fillers for nasolabial folds? Suggestions?
Treating Nasolabial Folds
Jul 23, 2019
Thank you for your question.  The best treatment to deal with your concerns would be with a hyaluronic acid filler.  For the Nasolabial folds, we tend to recommend either Restylane Defyne or Vollure.  We find that either will give you a significant but natural appearance.  The difference is that Vollure tends to last about 50% longer.   For some patients, we recommend also improving the contour of the cheeks.  This also helps the nasolabial fold appearance and is accomplished with the fil…
Can you have lower eye bags removed even if you’re told you have thin skin?
Eyelid bags with thin eyelid skin
Jul 13, 2019
Having thin skin makes getting fillers under the eyes more challenging.  However, it will have less of an impact on lower eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty).  From looking at your photos, it appears as if you would be a good candidate for a transconjunctival lower eyelid blepharoplasty (from the inside of the eyelid) to remove some of the excess fat.  I would recommend seeing a cosmetic surgeon who has a lot of experience in dealing with the eyelids.
Should I do surgery or fillers for my eyebags?
Fillers or Surgery for Lower Eyelid Bags
Jul 11, 2019
Thank you for your question.  This is a question that I hear every day.  The bottom line is that fillers and lower eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) both do a great job in helping lower eyelid bags depending on your anatomy.  To be specific about what I see in your photos….. you could benefit from either treatment but overall you would do best with lower eyelid surgery with a lighthanded removal of excess fat.
Eyes 2 completely different shapes and sizes. What can I do?
Eyelid Asymmetry
Apr 23, 2019
It is difficult to tell for certain from the photos you provided, but it looks like you have some mild ptosis (drooping) of the left upper eyelid.  If this is the case, you might benefit from eyelid surgery to correct the drooping of the left upper eyelid.  The key is to have an evaluation by an oculoplastic surgeon or a cosmetic surgeon who has a lot of experience with eyelids.
Is there a procedure to fix my eye bags? Can it be covered by insurance?
Lower Eyelid Bags
Mar 14, 2019
Thank you for your question.  From your photos, it appears as if you have some extra fat and skin in your lower eyelids.  The best treatment for this would be surgery,  I’ll provide a link and video that will give you some idea of what to expect with eyelid surgery.  Hope this helps.
Am I too young for blepharoplasty to correct eye symmetry in hooded eyes?
Upper Eyelid Cosmetic Surgery
Mar 5, 2019
You do appear to have some excess fullness of your upper eyelids.  This is often a family trait that has nothing to do with age.  From your photos, it looks like you would benefit from a light handed removal of some of the excess skin and fat from your upper eyelids.  This is performed under twilight sleep as an out patient.
I would suggest a consultation for a thorough in person evaluation and discussion about what options feel right to you.
What insight can you provide for bags under my eyes?
Under Eye Bags
Mar 5, 2019
Thank you for your question.  You do have some excess fullness under your eyes.  From looking at the photos, it appears as if you would benefit from a lower eyelid blepharoplasty.  The surgery would be performed with a laser with a small incision on the inside of your eyelid.  Your upper eyelids look nice but if you would like a little less fullness that can be addressed with a conservative removal of skin and fat.  Both procedures could be performed at the same time. The best way to move…
What to do excess skin upper eyelid when you’re 30?
Excess upper eyelid skin
Feb 12, 2019
The appearance of excess upper eyelid skin occurs because of the aging changes that happen around the eye and brow.  From your photos, I would say that the most direct way to deal with this would be a light-handed upper blepharoplasty.
If you would like to deal with this without surgery you could be treated with some Botox to raise the brows and a little filler to add back the volume to your brow that is gradually changing with time.  Both of these treatments tend to lightly raise the brow w…
Will my puffy eye need some type of cosmetic surgery intervention?
Ptosis of the upper eyelid
Feb 12, 2019
Thank you for supplying a photo.  It appears as if you have true ptosis of the upper eyelid.  This can be corrected with surgery.  Your best bet is to see a physician who specializes in eyelid surgery as part of their practice.
Suggestions for improving my eyes? I’m 64
Improving the appearance of your eyes
Feb 6, 2019
From your photos it appears as if you would benefit from some eyelid surgery.  For an exact answer you would need an in person consultation.  However, I suspect that you would benefit from upper eyelid surgery to repair your ptosis (droopy upper eyelids) along with some removal of excess skin and fat and the reestablishment of nice symmetric upper eyelid creases.  For your lower eyelids, some removal of excess fat would be helpful. See a physician with a lot of experience in cosmetic eye…
Do my eyes look as bad as I can think they do and what can be done to fix them?
Eyelid Asymmetry
Feb 6, 2019
The main cause of your asymmetry is that you have ptosis (drooping of the upper eyelids).  In your case, this is more severe on the right side.  The main difference in your lower eyelids is that you see the muscle that closes the eyelid more prominently on the left side.
I would suggest that you treat the blepharitis.  Then try some Botox for the larger muscle in the left lower eyelid.  Finally, you could consider eyelid surgery to repair your ptosis and lift your eyelids to a more plea…
What can I do to fix my asymmetrical upper lids with excess skin?
Upper Eyelid Asymmetry
Feb 6, 2019
From your photos, it looks like the asymmetry of your upper eyelids is due to differences in your eyelid crease.  This can be corrected with upper eyelid surgery.  If you would like a small amount of skin can also be removed at the time of surgery.  The key is to see somebody very experienced in eyelid surgery.
Which procedure should I get to correct ptosis droopy eyelid: eyelid surgery, or a forehead
Eyelid surgery
Jan 30, 2019
From your photo, it appears as if your eyebrows are in a nice, natural position.  I do not think you need a brow lift.  It is not possible to tell from your photo if you have ptosis ( a true droopy eyelid) or just excess skin making your eyelids look heavy.  Either way, you would probably benefit from some type of eyelid surgery.  The key is to see a cosmetic surgeon who is experienced is eyelid cosmetic surgery.
Can I get Juvederm in my lips even though I got Teosyal kiss a week ago?
Juvederm and Teosyal
Jan 22, 2019
It is perfectly fine to mix different HA fillers like Juvederm and Teosyal.  As with any touch up you should wait two weeks between treatments so you are sure things are stable and the initial swelling is resolved.
I am 69. Should I have Botox or Dysport for my frown lines?
Botox or Dysport
Dec 19, 2018
Botox and Dysport are more similar than different.  Both do an excellent job of treating frown lines.  The key to great results is not which of these products you chose, it is the skill and experience of the doctor doing the injections.
