Answer Snippet
Am I healing ok in left breast at 3 weeks post-op?
3 weeks post op
May 4, 2019
Soreness is ok especially if your job involves carrying trays. Many patients often watch their breasts heal at different rates. You are far too early out of surgery and need to give yourself time to let both breasts heal. You can really see more of a final result around 3 months. Be sure to keep your plastic surgeon aware of all your thoughts and concerns as well while you heal.
Is a lift absolutely necessary for me?
Breast Aug, lift or both?
May 4, 2019
Many patients often worry about the lift due to fear of the scars. Based on your photograph, I would advise a lift with an augmentation for the most aesthetic result. If you opt to just have implants, your nipple position and ptosis will not be fixed. Many patients who have the fear you have can opt for a staged procedure doing one surgery at a time, however, doing both may help you from having to have surgery and recover twice. I have a great video on this I am attaching that can help you...
Should you avoid holding your phone after breast augmentation surgery?
pain in arms after breast augmentation
May 4, 2019
It has been a week and you should be fine holding things like your phone. It is not uncommon for people to feel more pain on one side over the other. Discuss with your plastic surgeon who may suggest you make some movements with your arms above your head and around.
One breast in higher and bigger than the other... What do you think?
Breast asymmetry post operatively
May 4, 2019
Your concerns are very common among women as they are healing after the operation. You have just recently had it and it is common for your breasts the settle differently. You will need to allow yourself to heal and give it 3-6 months to assess your breast symmetry at that time. I do advise you discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon as well. Depending on how breasts are healing we may advise massage techniques (also common).
Why is my nipple in my armpit?!
Nipple Position after Breast Augmentation
May 4, 2019
I highly recommend reviewing these concerns with your plastic surgeon. Seeing your preoperative photographs would be helpful to understand your anatomy and results. It is possible for a breast to look off place if it is not placed properly behind the nipple. Absolutely suggest discussing your thoughts around your results with your plastic surgeon.
2 weeks post op and still pretty sore with muscle spasms frequently, is that normal?
Muscle Spasms after Breast Augmentation
May 4, 2019
Of course as you heal it can be a difficult time where you will question your pain and if it is normal. Given how recent you had surgery, what you describe sounds very normal in terms of your soreness and spasms. Each patient is unique in how they heal so don't be alarmed if you have spasms for a few weeks. It is important to keep your plastic surgeon aware of everything as well.
I'm nervous I don't look great after 525cc and 495cc?
Augmentation Results
May 4, 2019
You appear to be looking great given you just had surgery based on your photo and question. Healing really takes 3-6 months to see more of your final results. You are swollen right now and your implants have not had time to settle. Stay calm and keep communicating with your plastic surgeon!
Already Sagging After Breast Lift and Silicone Implants
Lack of upper pole fullness after implants
Mar 17, 2019
You are correct in that you do have a natural result that is quite designer from those seeking both a breast lift and implants (an augmentation pexy). Since you desire a result with additional fullness in the upper pole you may need to think about a revision surgery. It is important you give yourself more time to properly heal before considering this. It is important you discuss this with your plastic surgeon as well along the way!
10 weeks after my augmentation and donut lift and I noticed this opening, should I be worried? (Pho
Concern on nipple
Mar 17, 2019
It is a little tough to tell but can be a few things from what I can see. It is important you speak to the surgeon who operated on you with regard to this issue.
Do I need a lift? What type of implants do you recommend? I want the right size implants for my bod
Great result
Mar 17, 2019
You have a great result and I worry that if you go for a lift to move your nipples that you have slight unhappiness about you will be doing so at the cost of some pretty visible scarring. This is something to keep in mind as you consider a lift. I personally believe you have a great result still.
What would fix the drooping sides of my mouth?
Injections for downward frown
Jan 31, 2019
You would have a great result with the use of fillers and botox to turn the frowned appearance around. Low downtime. I suggest you see a board-certified plastic surgeon or by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or board-certified dermatologist.
What can I do about lump/line after tear trough filler?
Reversal for Tear Troughs
Jan 31, 2019
From the photos it seems you do have an area that may need to be dissolved. Your injector should be aware of this process and if your nurse is not offering it I suggest you see a board-certified plastic surgeon. This can be treated and you can get your original back or even have it done properly.
How many CCs of filler would I need to get my desired results?
Jawline
Jan 31, 2019
You should see a decent result on your jawline and chin with the use of fillers. This will be less expensive than a facelift, but as you point out, fillers are temporary. I would advise you do a in person consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to further discuss both options. You should be able to get the fillers that same day if you opt to do that.
What to do about my nasolabial folds/tear trough?
Fillers
Jan 31, 2019
Based on your photos your nasolabial folds would have a great result from one syringe, however you should be able to notice this immediately. As your trained injector does the procedure you can gauge amount as he or she is filling to determine if you may want more. I also prefer restylane in the tear area but use a microcannula for better results and less bruising.
Is it a good idea to get cheek fillers at 23?
Fillers at age 23
Jan 31, 2019
I highly recommend you see a board-certified plastic surgeon by the American Board of Plastic surgery to consult with in person. You are young and want to ensure what you are doing is to balance things naturally and not risk and overdone look. There are a lot of providers who will be willing to push fillers and treatments who are not board-certified plastic surgeons. It is important to keep in mind that fillers are not permanent. Fillers and Botox are treatments we see and are ok with at...
