Is Botox safe for asthmatics?
Botox and Asthma

Hi momof6kids! You should be ok getting Botox injections for the forehead and glabella areas. Best! Dr. Scott
If I got a steroid shot in my spine would that affect Botox results if they were done a week or
Steroid shot and Botox

You should be fine to do both the steroid shot and Botox injections. It should not affect your Botox results. Good luck!
Masseter botox injection last week and it’s been about 7 – 8 days now and so far no results?
Botox
Apr 5, 2017
I would give it a full 2 weeks before deciding if the Botox is working or not. If in 2 weeks you feel like you haven’t improved (i.e. your masseter muscle is not as tense or protruding when clenching), go back to your injector. You may need more units of Botox to get the desired effect. Best, Dr. Scott

Botox for Masseters
Mar 28, 2017
Normally it takes 1-2 weeks to fully appreciate the maximal effect of Botox so I would recommend just waiting for now. You should start to notice in a few days the muscles weakening so you cannot clench as hard. Normally, it takes longer to see the slimming effects of Botox on the jawline. You can always follow-up with your provider to compare before and after pictures in a few months. Good luck!
My doctor purchases fillers from Mareli Medical so he can charge less, but are they legitimate?
Legitimate Filler?
Mar 27, 2017
Hi mghazi11! I would definitely recommend not getting your filler done by this provider who gets products from Mareli Medical. Any reputable physician’s office gets their fillers directly from the companies who sell them (Juvederm products from Allergen, Restylane products from Galderma, etc). I would be very skeptical of an office who is purchasing filler from another source. You may save a couple of hundred dollars now, but in the long run you may…

Nose filler
Mar 27, 2017
I would definitely recommend seeing a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon for further evaluation to ensure your nose is healing properly and that you do not have vascular necrosis. Filler injections to the nose tend to be advanced filler techniques and I would recommend that you see a plastic surgeon or dermatologist who is comfortable doing these advanced techniques and has an in depth understanding of facial anatomy. Best, Dr. Scott
Bumpy lips after lip fillers 3 days ago, will these issues subside?
Bumpy lips after filler
Mar 27, 2017
Hi tsktsk182! Since it has only been 3 days since your filler was done, I would wait at least 2-3 weeks before determining if you need to fix any issues. You can still have a lot of swelling right now so some of the bumps may go down when the swelling fully subsides. You can also try to massage the areas gently to see if that will help. If you still feel your lips don’t look right after 2-3 weeks, make a follow-up appointment with your injector for further evaluation. Good luck!
