He is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is a member and past president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, as well as a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Pearlman is also a clinical professor at Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons, and has been a visiting professor at universities across the globe to teach on the topics of rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, and facial aging treatments. He was named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor multiple consecutive years in a row .
