Deep set eyes
Aug 8, 2020
Hi, From photographs alone it appears she may be developing upper eyelid ptosis which can make the eyelids appear sleepy or heavy. For this problem, an evaluation by an oculoplastic surgeon would be most appropriate. Filler may be an option for sunken appearing eyes as well. Hope this helps.
Can you get lower eyelid surgery after fillers?
Surgery after fillers
Aug 8, 2020
Hi, Yes, it is quite reasonable to undergo eyelid surgery even after fillers. Your surgeon may dissolve the filler before the surgery to get an accurate view of your eyelid anatomy. Hope this helps!
In which order should I do upper eyelid surgery, thread lift and Botox?
Order of surgery
Oct 11, 2019
Typically eyelid surgery and thread lifting should be performed before Botox either at the same time or separately. I would wait a month from surgery prior to Botox treatment. Hope this helps!
Under eye bag on one side when smiling. Should I have lower blepharoplasty?
Lower eyelid asymmetry when smiling
Oct 11, 2019
Dynamic wrinkles or those that occur when smiling may be better treated with Botox which will relax the muscle and possible filler. I recommend trying minimally invasive techniques before considering surgery. I recommend an evaluation by an oculoplastic specialist, hope this helps.

Post operative swelling
Oct 3, 2019
5 weeks after blepharoplasty, it is normal to still have swelling, which will continue to improve up to 6 to 12 months after Eyelid surgery. If you have a similar concerns six months after surgery I would consult with your surgeon again but you should continue to improve, hang in there!

Covered eyelid surgery
Oct 3, 2019
There are photographs and visual fields along with other measurements and your medical history that will help your insurance decide if this is medically necessary. That said, looking at your photographs alone, they may not fall within the guidelines of your insurance. Sometimes, they will choose to cover only the worst side. The best option would be to seek a consultation from an island specialist who can submit to your insurance to see what may be...
What are the differences in results and benefits for doing fat repositioning versus a fat transf
Lower eyelid fat techniques
Jul 29, 2019
Choosing fat transfer vs fat transposition depends varies per patient. If a patient has very little ornital fat then fat transposition (moving living fat into the deeper grooves) may not be sufficient. This is a nice minimally invasive technique with more predictable results if one is a candidate. Fat transfer requires harvesting fat from one part of the body and injecting it with a syringe like a filler into the eyelids. Some of the fat...
What is the procedure for lateral canthus correction?
Concerns after Eyelid surgery
Jul 29, 2019
Greetings, to address your first question, a lateral canthoplasty is a surgery that can lift the outer corners of your eyes. However, if you just had eyelid surgery 8 weeks ago, I would wait at least six months to see the final results before jumping into more surgery. I would seek a consultation with an eyelid specialist before considering more surgery.

Scar after MOHS surgery
Jun 18, 2019
Thank you for the question and photograph. At 5 weeks after surgery, it is typical for the scar to be raised, pink and even pull the skin around it. Massage and silicone sheeting will help. With time, the scar will settle down and can take 6-12 months to heal. However, if you are concerned about healing, I would touch base with your surgeon. If they suspect abnormal, or thickened scarring, other treatment can be applied during healing such as steroid cream or injections. Best to know your...
4 monhs post-op (upper bleph) - What can be done to fix the corner of my eye?
Outer corner scar
Jun 18, 2019
Greetings,
If you are having discomfort of an eyelid scar 4 months after surgery, it is best to return to your surgeon for an examination. He may make some suggestions for treatment such as massage, topical medication, steroid injection or a suture removal. Typically, healing can take 6-12 months after eyelid surgery, so hopefully this will continue to improve. Best regards,
Should I wait to have an upper blepharoplasty once my brow lift heals? Worried about having too
Timing of blepharoplasty and brow lift
Jun 18, 2019
Typically, it is common to have brow lift and blepharoplasty performed at the same time, with specific measurements taken by the surgeon to ensure too much tissue is not taken. In some circumstances it may be wise to perform one at a time, for example in a patient with severe dry eyes, or who has already had a blepharoplasty with scar tissue, or for cost purposes. It is best to meet with your surgeon and review your history to determine the best treatment plan for you. Hope this helps!

Blepharoplasty and anesthesia
Jun 18, 2019
Blepharoplasty can be performed under local anesthesia in the office or under IV sedation in an outpatient surgery center. There are many factors that may determine this decision, patient health, level of anxiety, cost, ease of recovery without sedation to name a few. It is best to meet with your decision to decide a treatment plan that works best for you and in your best interest.
Will fractional have any effects on fillers? I have fillers under my eyes, but want fractional.
Filler and fractional laser
May 27, 2019
Laser facial treatment typically should not have a significant impact on fillers, if placed at the proper plane beneath the skin. There should not be loss of filler after the laser. Hope this helps.
Red skin underneath, fractional laser - Is this normal?
Pink skin after facial laser
May 27, 2019
Greetings,
The pink skin under the dead skin that is sloughing off can be normal. In the next few days, the pink color should improve and you should have fresh looking skin. Hopefully you have been told to stay out of the sun and use only products advised by your doctor who treated you. This may include a mild cleanser, vinegar soaks, moisturizer and sunscreen. If you have concerns, I would start with the doctor who treated you first.
My under eyes make me look tired and has aged me terribly. What can I do to look more youthful?
Lower eyelid
Apr 22, 2019
Greetings! For the most accurate recommendation, a consultation would be helpful. However from the photographs, it appears that filler would be a great place to start for the under eye hollows and botulinum and/or laser for the fine lines and wrinkles of the crows feet and around the eyes. At your age, nonsurgical options can be quite complimentary. I recommend seeing an oculoplastic surgeon who focuses on treatment of the eyelids...
