1. If over a time time predict to need 5000+ grafts I’d go FUT as it protects the donor bank better than FUE
2. If I wear my hair very short I’d go FUE

Each individual varies with number of hair transplants they can have over a lifetime. Typically FUT procedures allow for more donor hairs to be harvested over the course of a lifetime compared to FUE.

Do I have a shock loss in my donor area after a FUE?

4 weeks after hair transplant it’s normal for the hair to appear thin. This will take time to resolve but does appear to be some shock loss and healing to the donor region
