You have two separate breasts and each breast will swell and then heal at its own rate. Asymmetry in the first 6 weeks and even up to 4 months is not unusual. I tend to agree with your husband and think it’s safest to stay close to your surgeon immediately after Breast Reduction surgery. You may also find a two hour car trip quite uncomfortable in the early stages of recovery. All the best.

It’s not unusual to still be experiencing some pain three weeks after breast augmentation. Nerve pain such as a shooting, stabbing, stinging or burning sensation can be quite distressing and doesn’t always settle with regular pain relief. With time and reduced swelling the pain should subside. Please see your qualified plastic surgeon for review. Thank you for your question.
