Dysport and Botox are both derivatives of botulinum toxins type A proteins and work essentially the same. Dysport have smaller protein particles, therefore, it will “kick in” slightly faster than Botox. Both last approximately the same amount of time (3-4 months) depending on amount and depth of injection. Price varies, but Dysport may be slightly less expensive than Botox.

I had both Scuplta and Dysport injected 3 days ago. Should I massage both areas?

It best NOT to massage after Dysport injections for at least the first 4 hrs after being injected. Massaging can actually displace the dysport. On the other hand it is very important to massage the Sculptra. The Sculptra should be massaged 5 times a day, for 5 minutes, for 5 days.

Restylane Refyne is my favorite to use for the vertical lip lines. It is a flexible filler that moves naturally as your mouth moves. It is injected superficially to correct the vertical lines and does not cause the bluish tent (Tyndall affect) that other fillers may cause. Restylane Refyne can take years off by correcting those vertical lip lines.

Restylane Refyne can last anywhere from 6-9 months to a year depending on factors such as:
how many syringes are used, area being injected, metabolism of the patient, lifestyle of patient such as smoker vs. non smoker, sun exposure, and the quality of skin being injected are just some of the deciding factors.

It is hard to determine without a before photo, but two syringes are definitely adequate to establish fullness. There are however, different types of Restylane products, some used to achieve more volume while others are for fine lines and to help smooth out the lips, without adding a lot of volume. You do have nice shaped lips and they appear in the photo to be quite full, but once again, it is hard to determine without a before photos. I would discuss your concerns…

By looking at your pictures, you could benefit from hyaluronic acid fillers. Even though it is the lines along the sides of the mouth that bother you, using filler for loss of volume in the cheeks will greatly improve those lines with a more natural look. Losing volume in the cheeks is what create those lines. Filling the folds themselves, can sometimes lead to increased volume around the mouth, looking somewhat “monkeyish”.
