Would I be a good candidate for #buccalfatremoval? I am a 27 year old female, 5'9' and 120 lbs.

Young patients in their 20s who are not overweight (eg. 120lbs and 5'9"   BMI17.7)  and have chubby cheeks, are usually excellent candidates for buccal fat removal. The procedure helps to correct the fullness of the lower anterior face ( chubby cheeks), thus making the face  thinner  and more chiseled., thus synchronizing better the appearance of the face with the appearance of the rest of the body. The video below helps to understand who could be a candidate for buccal fat removal.

Many doctors that do not recommend buccal fat removal usually don't have experience with the procedure or don't know how to do the procedure without making the patient to look prematurely aged or with a gaunt appearance.Chubby cheeks are well know to be resistant to decrease in diet and exercise in many patients. These chubby cheeks usually remain or grow with aging (usually seeing on the parents).Buccal fat removal is the plastic surgery procedure that permanently removes the chubby cheeks....
How much buccal fat exists in our face? Is it possible I have more buccal fat to be removed?
I am chubby again. I got #buccalfatremoval few years ago. Is it possible I have more buccal fat to be removed?
Apr 16, 2020
The results of buccal fat removal are masked gaining weigh. For example, if somebody of average height gains 30 lbs of weight, very likely the results of the buccal fat removal will be diminished significantly. The reason is that when someone gains a lot of weight, all the fat of the face that is not buccal fat pads tens to grow, thus "filling" the area treated by the buccal fat removal. A secondary buccal fat removal could be done in someone that has undergone partial buccal fat removal i...

Technically either botox to the masetter or buccal fat removal should affect the appearance of the upper cheek bones ("apples of the cheeks). The reason is because in the upper cheek area there is neither masetter muscle nor buccal fat pads.

Achieving modification of the jaw line: #buccalfatremoval
Apr 16, 2020
Females who would like to achieve a more slim and V shaped facial look could benefit from several plastic surgery procedures. The width of the jaw is dependent of the jaw bone configuration, the size of the masetter muscles and the volume of the soft tissues covering the mentioned structures. Depending on the structure, a plastic surgery procedure could help to achieve a thinner face.V-line surgery is the procedure that shaves the jaw bone on its external sides. Botox injections to the ma...

Is this buccal fat or jowl fat? #buccalfatremoval #bichectomia
Apr 15, 2020
Buccal fat and jowls (fat) are two different areas of the face.Buccal fat pads are located on anterior portion of the lower cheeks, above the jaw line. Jowls are pockets of fat not he face that hang at the level of the jaw line. Therefore, they are located below the area where the buccal fat removal exists. To determine if a patient could be candidate for buccal fat removal, please consider watching the video below.

Patient with big asymmetric cheeks could benefit from buccal fat removal.
Buccal fat removal is a plastic surgery procedure that permanently removes the pockets of fats of the cheeks ( buccal fat pads) that cause chubbiness. This allows the face to achieve a thinner more chiseled look.
In patients with cheek asymmetry, I routinely do an asymmetric buccal fat removal. This means that more buccal fat pad is removed from the bigger cheek. This allows the patient candidates to achieve  a mo...
