It is not unrealistic to have a certain look that you are trying to achieve when going through a consultation for a rhinoplasty. It may be a little unrealistic to come in with photos from a outside software and ask to match them. Using 3D rendering software is certainly possible but it is best to allow your doctor to use their own software so they can show you what is surgically possible.

Hi Jordy, When you have nasal surgery it us under local anesthesia and intravenous sedation. There are some very minor procedures on the nose can be done with local anesthesia alone. But it sounds like you are looking for a nose job or rhinoplasty which our office would perform using an IV. We only operate using board certified anesthesiologists because this provides the highest patient satisfaction and safety.

A consultation for a revision rhinoplasty is similar to a consultation for primary rhinoplasty. It is best to be clear about what bothers you about your nose. Make sure you are given enough time to speak with the doctor about your concerns and expectations. If you have prior operative reports and or films and photos of your nose these are most helpful in providing information on your nasal history. Most importantly find someone you are comfortable with and listens to you.
