Overfilled lip problem! Is there anything that could be done?
Upper lip overfilling
Dec 11, 2020
Lip fillers are meant to acccentuate the natural beauty of the lips. In your case, it looks like the injector tired to accentuate your vermillion border which caused a shadowing. Sometimes when I see this, I place a little filler in the shadowed area, which can soften the ridge. You may also get some improvement with gentle massage.
I would suggest the next time you get filler, show these photos to the injector so they can modify their technique.
Non Invasive Nostril Lift!! - What's the best NON SURGICAL way to get this result?
non-surgical nostril treatment
Feb 25, 2020
On your photos, it's not really clear what you're trying to do with your nostril. I suspect it cannot be done with fillers--more likely nasal base excision (Weirs excision), which is a minor surgcial procedure. I suggest you see a facial plastic surgeon who can provide both surgical and non-surgical options.
What will help straighten a crooked nose s/p revision?
Hold on--you're only 1 week postop!!!
Feb 25, 2020
Most patients don't realize that they are still swollen at one week when the dressing comes off. You may actually be swollen for 6-12 months--meaning it may take that long for the final result to become apparant. I would NOT suggest doing fillers at this time! Your surgeon is 100% correct that you should wait before doing anything. You can certainly have fillers to give an appearance of a straighter dorsum, but it may improve with time.
Are infections common following a revision rhinoplasty?
Unusual to have infections after rhinoplasty
Feb 25, 2020
I'm surprised a surgeon would tell a patient that they have had multiple patients with infections after rhinoplasty. Some questions to ask are:1. Is the surgeon using implant material-either cadaveric or synthetic?2. Are the infections all at one particular surgicenter?3. What organisms have been cultured?4. How serious were the infections?Only after you have answers to these questions should you proceed with surgery, in my opinion.
What is the best treatment to tighten and smooth mild loose skin under the eyes?
Skincare before peels or laser will improve healing and diminish hyperpigmentation
Jun 2, 2019
I have found that if patients are on a good skin care regimen that includes Retin-A and hydroquinone at least 6-8 weeks before treatment, they will heal well from laser resurfacing or peels without hyperpigmentation. I tell my patients that damaging damaged skin results in poor healing, whereas damaging healthy skin produces skin that is healthier. I would recommend skin care first, followed by either a medium depth chemical peel or fractional resurfacing. After that has healed, you could ...
What procedure can be used to fix under eye bags?
Make sure lower lid bag diagnosis is done by a qualified professional! Not all "bags" require surgery.
Jun 2, 2019
The first thing I do in a consultation focusing on lower lid rejuvenation is to review the anatomy. Details to determine are, lower lid orbital rim prominence from volume loss, fat herniation, skin laxity,  and hypertrophy of the muscle. Some of these can be treated with nonsurgical techniques and some require surgery.Your beautiful eyes show what I commonly see in Asian eyes: hypertrophy of the surrounding muscle. Please don't let anyone operate on your eyes. A couple unity of Botox will ...
What can be done to make my face look more feminine and symmetrical? Concerned with nose, eyes, eye
The youthful face is full and beautiful!
May 12, 2019
You are a very pretty young woman, with beautiful eyes, brows, jawline, cheeks and lips. Don't be in a hurry to change any of these things! A different hairstyle would bring less attention to your high forehead and would soften your face. Start with something less invasive first, and see how that works before jumping into the plastic surgery arena.
How long should a person wait post rhinoplasty before doing a chemical peel or laser skin resurfaci
Treatment of the skin after rhinoplasty
May 12, 2019
Treatment of the skin of the nose after rhinoplasty with a chemical peel or resurfacing should be done with care. The skin has been elevated (either by open or endonasal approach) and needs to heal before being injured from above. Wait at least 3 months before proceeding and make sure the person doing the procedure knows about your surgical history..
I'm seeing a slight deviation on my bridge! Is that deviation or swollen?
Nose may look crooked due to postop swelling
May 12, 2019
From your photo, it looks like you have a fair amount of swelling. Wait at least 6 months postop before getting worried about it being crooked. I would advise against silicone, but you might want to try a hyaluronic acid filler (even now while it's swollen) to make it look straighter and allow you to feel better about ti wile it's healing.
Is this cartilage growing in my nose?
Lesions in the nose--more likely infection than cartilage
Mar 31, 2019
It is very hard to see from your photos, but I have seen people develop small pustules in that area from infection around the hair follicles. I would recommend not trying to remove these things yourself, but see and ENT or facial plastic surgeon, who has experience with intranasal lesions. Cartilage generally doesn't protrude out of the mucosal lining by itself, but I suppose it could,  if your continue to traumatize it.
Can they remove the threads during the rhinoplasty?
Nasal Threadlift----WHAAAAT??????
Mar 27, 2019
Facial threadlifts don't work. So why would anyone use them in the nose? I have a suspicion that you did not see a surgeon for this procedure. Fillers are very dangerous in the nose, and only VERY experienced expert injectors should do this. Since you're in NY--there are MANY choices for qualified facial plastic surgeons who can evaluate your nose and perform the correct procedure. I don't feel that the fillers or threads will be an issue for future surgical procedures.
What should I ask my plastic surgeon during my rhinoplasty consultation to help me with my decision
How many of any surgery is "enough" when you question a surgeon about their skills?
Mar 27, 2019
It is hard to pick a surgeon these days. There is a lo of mis-information on the web, as well as often bad reviews, often by disgruntled patients. Some patients even ask for their money back or they threaten with a bad review. (I had that happen once--refused to give an unwarranted refund and then got the bad review.)So what do you do? Some people feel that asking a surgeon "how many of these do you do?" is a good question, BUT, what is the right answer, 10, 50, 100, 10,000???? So I don't ...
Could thick skin 9 months after my rhinoplasty be scar tissue?
Thick skin needs longer to heal after a rhinoplasty--especially if done via the open approach.

You certainly have thick skin and may be more likely to need 1-1.5 years for all the edema to resolve, however, there is no harm in trying some kenalog steroid injections. Speak with your surgeon about this. They can give you the best indication of how long it will take to see your final results.
Can spreader grafts be used on just the lower portion of my nose?
Spreader grafts help breathing and cosmesis--but let the surgeon decide what you need!!
Mar 9, 2019
Spreader grafts are strips of (usually septal) cartilage that are placed alongside the uppermost aspect of the nasal septum and can serve to widen the internal nasal valve, improve indentations of the nasal sidewall, or both. Please don't get too caught up in what technique you need.  An ideal consultation involves a discussion between you and your surgeon about what you dislike about your nose. The surgeon, who has the expertise to know what techniques work to address your concerns,  the...
Loose neck skin after mini lift. Can this be fixed?
Minilift treats jowling, not the neck.
Mar 3, 2019
You have a very nice profile-however not sure what your preop looked like. If you truly had a minilift, the neck was not addressed--as this is a procedure mainly aimed at improving the jowls. It may tighten the neck slightly, but in order to work on the neck, patients require a lower face and neck lift (aka 'facelift') or a necklift.Your neck has to have some give so you can move your head up and down, so there is a limit to how tight a neck can be. You could discuss with your doctor some ...
