Is there a way to recreate my dorsal hump?
dorsal augmentation
Feb 28, 2020
Thanks for your question. There are both surgical and non-surgical ways to add to the dorsum of the nose. Most of the time, dorsal augmentation is used to raise the height of the bridge of the nose or smooth out contours, but similar techniques could be employed to add a characteristic feature of the nose. The quickest way to achieve this would likely be utilizing filler with a non-surgical or liquid rhinoplasty. Just like any filler procedure, it’s a quick in-office procedure.  I would be…
Revision rhinoplasty experts how can I smoothen out my bridge and make my nose smaller?
nasal evaluation
Feb 10, 2020
Hello, I would reach out to your surgeon or another experienced nasal surgeon to get a thorough evaluation.  The aesthetic concerns can be readdressed with revision surgery, but I am more concerned about the bad odor you are smelling.  Sometimes that can be from other concerns in the nose and sinuses like a persistent sinus infection.  Cadaveric cartilage can be used with good longevity if utilized properly.I am unsure about how the cadveric cartilage was used to replace the nasal bones….
Revision for pointy tip and thin dorsal, any suggestions?
rhinoplasty results
Feb 10, 2020
Thanks for your question. First of all, you are still relatively early in the healing process.  I would try to be patient and wait the full year before you decide on revision surgery.  It’s difficult to comment on exactly what is contributing to your concerns without a thorough in person evaluation.  This is necessary to understand how the nose is looking with respect to the rest of your face and how it is functioning.  Be sure to stay in communication with your surgeon as you heal so she c…
Could revision rhinoplasty be suitable for me?
rhinoplasty results
Feb 10, 2020
Thanks for your question and photos.  The middle photo does show some asymmetric highlights but it’s hard to say whether that’s due to positioning and lighting.  I recommend discussing your concerns with your surgeon.  Eight months may seem like a while, but you still have some healing to go.  The swelling should continue to decrease especially around the tip.  If you are still unhappy with your results after one year,  your surgeon should know about them.  If you are considering revisio…
Will turbinate reduction or endoscopic sinus surgery weaken or change the appearance of a nose that’s h
sinus surgery
Feb 10, 2020
Thanks for your question.
Typically endoscopic sinus surgery and inferior turbinate reductions should not affect the outer appearance of the nose.  Sometimes sinus surgery includes work on the septum which can change the nose if it’s overly aggressive. Be sure to discuss with your surgeon any concerns you have so you can feel comfortable proceeding with surgery. Best of Luck
I’m 48 and considering a brow lift or blepharoplasty, based on my photos what do you recommend? (Photos
blepharoplasty
Oct 31, 2019
Based on your photographs, it appears your brows are in a reasonable position.  You may be a better candidate for an upper blepharoplasty which can help reduce the excess skin of the upper lid without creating an over-elevated appearance.  I would recommend seeking out an in person consultation with facial plastic surgeon to help determine what is right for you. Best of Luck
What procedures do I need (invasive and non-invasive options) to make my lower face look normal? (Photo
addressing jawline laxity
Oct 21, 2019
It appears from your photos that you have some excess fullness of the lower face and jawline that is creating a boxy wider jawline.  In many cases like yours, restoration of the jawline contours and the lower face can be accomplished with a lower face lift.  I would seek out an experienced facial plastic surgeon who can perform an in-depth examination and make the most appropriate recommendations tailored to your needs. Best of Luck
Am I a good candidate for a lower face lift to treat marionette lines, jowls, and turkey neck at 36?
facelift
Oct 21, 2019
You would be a nice candidate for a facelift which would address many of the aging concerns you mention.  Less invasive treatments such as thread lifts may have offer temporary benefit but do not deliver long lasting correction.  I would recommend seeking out a board certified facial plastic surgeon experienced in facial rejuvenation. Best of Luck
What is the best treatment for sagging jawline, jowls, neck and rough skin tone?
Facelift
Oct 21, 2019
Based on your concerns, I would recommend a lower face lift. It is the most direct way to address your concerns of sagging jawline, jowls and neck to deliver the results you are seeking.
As for skin tone and texture, I recommend to my patients starting with good skin care and skin protection and adding resurfacing techniques to address those concern.  Resurfacing techniques alone would not give you the best results for the sagging you mention. Best of Luck
5 months post septorhinoplasty I have nerve pain on the roof of my mouth. What is the cause and how can
nerve pain
Oct 21, 2019
I’m sorry you are still experiencing some discomfort after your surgery. It is not uncommon to experience some temporary numbness and/or discomfort after surgery, and should improve with time.  I encourage you to continue your appointments with your physician so you can be monitored for resolution of these concerns. Best of Luck
What procedures should I do to improve my eyes?
eye symmetry
May 31, 2019
It appears that your left upper lid had some ptosis, and that your left brow might also be a little lower than the right. Sometimes removal of inner corner skin for asian eyes refers to treatment of epicanthal folds- It is hard to say from your picture if this applies to you. I would rediscuss the operative plans with your surgeon to understand how you would benefit from each procedure so you can decide what surgery can help you achieve your aesthetic goals.
Can a brow lift be done for a man with very limited amount of hair (almost bald)?
brow lift
May 31, 2019
A brow lift can be performed on men with thinning hair.  There are many ways to perform a brow lift, and the particular technique should be chosen carefully for men, depending on where their hairline is and how thin the hair is.  This can be further discussed during an in person consultation with an experienced surgeon who can help find the right treatment for you.
Can I have a revision blepharoplasty?
revise but at the right time
May 31, 2019
It is possible to perform a revision blepharoplasty, but you would want to make sure you fully heal before considering another surgical procedure.  Be sure to follow up with your doctor and discuss your concerns.  When the time is right, you will have a much better chance of getting your desired results. Best of Luck
Do you think I would need just chin lipo or more like a facelift procedure?
defining the neck and jawline
May 31, 2019
It is difficult to fully assess from your photo, but it does appear that you may benefit from liposuction to the chin and jawline.  A facelift would create a more dramatic neckline if you have extra skin laxity that would need to be addressed as well as address other aging concerns of the lower face.  Be sure to address this with your surgeon to understand how you would benefit from each procedure to find what treatment is right for you.
Best treatment to enhance my lips?
lip augmentation options
May 31, 2019
A lip lift can help shorten a long cutaneous upper lip (skin between upper lip border and bottom of nose) and also help show more red lip.  Based on your pictures and current volume, if you are looking for long term lip augmentation options, you may also consider fat injections. The best way to proceed is to seek out an in person consultation with an experienced surgeon who can help find the best treatment for you. Best of Luck.
