Answer Snippet
Is it necessary to make an incision on the upper eye lid for ptosis surgery?
ptosis repair from inside the eyelid
Apr 18, 2023
We often will correct a ptosis from the underside of the lid so that you have no external incisions. In the office we put a drop in your eyes to evaluate the internal Mueller's muscle. The amount of lift you get with the drop then helps us to determine how much correction you will need. The lid is flipped over in the OR and some of this muscle is removed. Quick recovery for most patients.
Age 37 & eyelids have started to droop, am I a good candidate for eyelid surgery?
blepharoplasty
Apr 18, 2023
You do have a lot of excess skin for your age which can be genetic. You would do well with an upper eyelid blepharoplasty to remove some of the excess skin.
Would I benefit from eyelid surgery for droopy & exposed upper eyelids?
ptosis
Apr 18, 2023
You have ptosis of the upper eyelids, so you see more of the lid than you would like. You can do surgery to fix the ptosis, and this will decrease the amount of lid you see. There are also drops that you can use to elevate the lid, but you have to use these twice a day.
Did surgeon remove too much skin from my eyelids?
post op upper lid bleph
Jun 28, 2022
You have a deep set eye with prominent full brow. You can see in the before picture that you have some redundant skin, but not a lot of fat behind it. When that skin is removed, you will usually look a little bit more hollow. However it does not look like they took too much skin. You have a nice crease and platform, with some skin still there. Everything will eventually drop again!
Fat transfer and stem cells - is it better?
fat and stem cells
Mar 24, 2022
You are correct - the fat which is transferred has the stem cells. There is no need to add additional stem cells which may be of little use anyway.
Age 28, male - does upper blepharoplasty 'raise' your eyelids?
ptosis
Feb 21, 2022
You have ptosis, with only a little bit of extra skin. A ptosis repair will open you eyes by tightening the muscles. You should see an oculoplastic surgeon who will evaluate your eyelid muscles to determine what surgery would be best for you.
Best option for lower eyelid skin?
lower eyelid
Feb 16, 2022
From this photo it looks like you have enough eyelid skin that some should be removed. You would also benefit from some radiofrequency or other energy device to help improve the skin quality.
Do I need a ptosis surgery for both eyes?
ptosis
Feb 14, 2022
You have ptosis of the upper eyelids, worse on the left. Ptosis surgery would help to open you eyes and should make a nice difference.
Lines and divots in face 1 year after FaceTite - advice?
hollowing post facetite
Feb 2, 2022
You do have an area of hollowing after the treatment, so lost some fat in this area. Try doing some HA filler there first. IF you like the way that looks, you can consider doing fat which would be more permanent.
Want to correct eyelids: should I get a blepharoplasty or another procedure?
blepharoplasty
Feb 2, 2022
You have very heavy upper eyelid skin. The only way to improve this is with a surgical blepharoplasty to remove some of the skin. If done correctly you will not be over corrected. Non-surgical modalities will not help here.
What is the best non-surgical treatment for vertical wrinkles/crepey neck?
crinkly neck
Jan 13, 2022
It looks like you have had some sort of surgery here already with that one area that looks pulled up. For the skin, you should try some microneedling with radiofrequency as you want to stimulate new collagen growth. It will take a few treatments, but works well for these sort of lines.
Is my lip filler botched? Will dissolving them ruin my natural lips?
lip filler
Dec 21, 2021
Your filler is prominent above the vermillion border. You can have some hyaluronidase injected to remove the filler without any damage to your natural lip shape.
I know I need a blepharoplasty, but do I need a brow lift also?
bleph with brow lift
Dec 21, 2021
Tough to tell with just one picture. IN this photo you appear to have a good brow height and arch. The brow should be just above the bone, so you can feel to see if it is in that location. Doing a small temporal brow lift will also help to improve the appearance to the lateral upper lid and crow's feet.
Will Bleph and Fat Transfer improve my aging eyes?
peri-ocular wrinkles
Dec 21, 2021
You have fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes, and some hollowing in the lower lid. Either HA fillers, which can at times last many years, or fat can help with the volume loss. You should also consider either laser or radiofrequency or plasma to help stimulate new collagen growth to help improve the skin texture. Surgery to elevate the tail of the brow can also decrease the crow's feet.
One eyebrow is significantly much higher than the other. What can I do?
brow asymmetry
Nov 26, 2021
You need to submit a photo showing your eyes as well. One of the most common reasons for brow asymmetry is eyelid asymmetry. If you have a ptosis, or low eyelid height on one side, the brow on that side will be higher as it tries to help elevate the eyelid. This is improved by elevating the lower eyelid.
