Can a lip lift fix a horizontal line in my philtrum?

Hi, it is highly likely that you would get at least a significant reduction of this horizontal smiling line with lip lift surgery.
It is unfortunately impossible to determine precisely how much.
Fillers can be used, but you would get an early relapse as the movement would displace and compress the filler.

From the photos provided you would be an excellent candidate for a modified lip lift.
Interestingly when we smile, our lip shortens significantly. After a lip lift there is more dental show at rest and with talking, but not a great deal more with smiling . Because of this Lip lift surgery does not give you a gummy smile.

From the photo provided you would be an excellent candidate for a modified lip lift.
The procedure is usually done in the office under local anaesthetic with oral sedation, and takes just over an hour to perform.
We recommend you take 2 weeks off for recovery, as being in the centre of your face, the mouth and lips are not as easy to hide initially as some other surgeries- but after 2 weeks you should be able to confidently resume full activities

It is not true that the lip lift incision heals badly on young patients. There are things your surgeon can do to improve incision line quality , and there are things you can do to make sure you get the best possible incision. These are all discussed pre surgery.
