Can I get lip fillers if I play the trumpet?
Lip Augmentation
Apr 16, 2020
Hello and thank you for your question! Yes, you can undergo a lip augmentation with dermal filler if you play the trumpet, however, I would recommend scheduling the injections during an off week to allow your lips to heal properly. It is possible that playing the trumpet within a few days after the injections will increase swelling. Best of luck to you!
Would lip fillers be able to add volume to one side of my top lip?
Lip Augmentation
Apr 8, 2020
Based off your photos, I think a combination of a neurotoxin, such as Botox Cosmetic or Dysport, and a dermal filler can help to address the asymmetry you are concerned about. Only a few units of Botox Cosmetic or Dysport would be needed to address the gummy smile, and generally your injector can tailor your treatment to your needs adding as much dermal filler as you desire while still achieving a natural outcome. I highly recommend doing your research to find an experienced injector. Best ...
Looking into getting a rhinoplasty: Is it better for me to get filler or the actual surgery for
Surgical Rhinoplasty vs. Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty
Apr 8, 2020
Thank you for your question. Based off your photos, I think you would be an ideal candidate for surgical or non surgical rhinoplasty. Dermal fillers are a great way to add height to the bridge of the nose. Although the non-surgical rhinoplasty is only temporary, it is an good treatment to see if you even like the results and want to move forward with a more permanent option. I find that non-surgical rhinoplasty can last up to 10-12 months, so the longevity is ideal. I highly recommend sch...
Is this fixable? Three months post op and it’s horrible
Revision Rhinoplasty
Apr 6, 2020
Unfortunately it can take up to a full year for all of the swelling to go down after a rhinoplasty. I would recommend addressing your concerns with the surgeon that performed your rhinoplasty before considering a revision. Sometimes steroid injections can be helpful during the healing process. Best of luck to you!
Can I use electrolysis to remove pubic hairs from the shaft of my penis?
Laser Hair Reduction
Apr 6, 2020
Electrolysis is a more dated procedure to reduce facial or body hair. I would recommend laser hair reduction which is a more effective and less painful treatment to reduce hair. A series of treatments are needed about 4-6 weeks apart to produce desired results. I recommend seeking out an experienced laser technician for an in-person consultation to make sure that you are an ideal candidate for this procedure.
What procedure may be able to improve my eye hollows?
Tear Trough Correction
Apr 3, 2020
Based off your photos, I think you would be an ideal candidate for a tear trough correction. This is a non-surgical procedure that uses dermal filler to help fill in or camouflage under eye hallows. I prefer to use Restylane L for this treatment and only inject with a microcannula-never a needle. I highly recommend seeking an in-person consultation with experienced injector.
Is it possible to fill these ‘dimples’ at the top of my nose bridge?
Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty
Mar 31, 2020
Non-surgical rhinoplasty is a great option to help camouflage certain irregularities on the nose. In the hands of an experienced injector, optimal results can be achieved. I prefer to use Restylane Lyft for this procedure and only inject with a microcannula-never a needle, which greatly reduces many of the scary risks involved with dermal filler. I highly recommend you schedule an in-person consultation with an injector that has a great deal of experience injecting the nose.
Why does one side of my upper lip not move when I smile, talk or make any kind of expression? (
Asymmetry
Mar 31, 2020
Thank you for your question and providing a photo. I think your best treatment option would be injecting a neurotoxin such as Botox Cosmetic or Dysport to help even out the asymmetry. This would be a similar treatment to reducing a "gummy smile" using a neurotoxin, however, it would be performed by only injecting the higher side of the smile. Generally this treatment will last 3-4 months.
Do I have any options for bulging/sagging under eye after Botox in crows feet/forehead besides
Botox Injections
Mar 31, 2020
Hello and thank you for your question. It is difficult to provide a proper evaluation without seeing your before pictures, however, neurotoxins are not known to increase hollowness and sagging. I would recommend reaching back out to your injector with these concerns. Best of luck to you!
What procedure has this lady done to her mouth and lip due to which her smile has significantly
Lip Flip
Mar 25, 2020
Thank you for your question! Although these photos are difficult to evaluate since they are taken at different angles and I don't see a significant difference from the before and after, a subtle treatment option would be a "lip flip" with a neurotoxin such as Botox Cosmetic or Dysport. This procedure is done by injecting a minimal amount of Botox Cosmetic or Dysport in the muscle above the lip, also known as the orbicularis oris, causing it can subtly evert the lip. Results are modest an...
I am trying to decide between an upper blepharoplasty or unilateral brow lift to fix the heavin
Upper Blepharoplasty vs. Brow Lift
Mar 25, 2020
Based off the photos you provided, your brows seem to be in a relatively good position. Brow lifts are considered to be a more "stylized look" that are performed less and less over the years. I think that you would benefit more from an upper blepharoplasty. Surgeon's can tailor the procedure to your needs determining how much skin needs to be excised from each eye. I highly recommend getting a second opinion from a board certified plastic surgeon or facial plastic surgeon.
Can a microcannula get stuck?
Injecting with Microcannulas
Mar 23, 2020
As someone who consistently injects filler with microcannulas (never needles), I have never come across this issue. It is not unusual to experience some resistance from the microcannula going in, however, it is highly unlikely to experience resistance pulling the microcannula out. It is important to do your homework and seek an experienced injector.
I have large pores all over my nose and cheeks. What procedure can shrink these?
Treatment Options
Mar 23, 2020
Luckily there are quite a few options to help minimize pore size. Microneedling, Cortex CO2 laser resurfacing, and chemical peels are some procedures that can reduce pore size. For in-home, daily options, Retin-A or a medical grade Retinol can also shrink the size of pores. Keep in mind that there are many additional benefits that you will experience with all of these treatments as well.
I'm only 23 but I look 30. My facial skin is so loose and I have facial hair. What do I do to g
Treatment Options
Mar 23, 2020
Thank you for your question. If you have dark hair, laser hair removal is a great option to reduce hair on the face and body. This is done through a series of treatments about 4-6 weeks apart. If you have blonde hair then dermaplaning every 3-4 weeks might be a great option for you. This procedure is performed using a surgical blade to remove dead skin and vellus hair, also known as peach fuzz. Ultherapy is an FDA approved treatment that uses ultra sound technology to lift and tighten the...
Is the risk of my nose looking worse worth it getting better?
4th Rhinoplasty
Mar 19, 2020
Unfortunately, the more the nose is operated on, the less predictable the scar tissue can heal. The risk can be higher than the reward if you go into surgery for the 4th operation. I would recommend seeking a board certified plastic surgeon or facial plastic surgeon that specializes in revision rhinoplasty and weigh the pros and cons. Best of luck to you!
