Do I need to use Revision Skincare Vitamin C lotion twice a day?
How to properly use Revisions C 30 Correcting Complex
Apr 28, 2023
Revision C 30 Correcting Complex is a wonderful product. Typically used once a day prior sunblock application .C+ Correcting Complex 30%® defends and corrects the skin-damaging effects of free radicals generated by Urban Dust and High Energy Visible light (HEV or blue light).

However, if you have dark spots from sun damage, using the product twice a day will improve the pigmentation. You will want to use this in combination with Revisions Retinol and one of the Revisions Intellishade ...

Can BBL Sciton: 560 filter application be used to remove freckles? My understanding was 515 fo
Can BBL remove freckles?
Feb 16, 2023
Both wavelengths may be used.

The 560 filter with BBL does treat redness in the skin. However, it is also able treat deeper pigment.

The 515 is used specifically for pigment.

I usually start with a pass of BBL 560 filter at a lower energy and the make a second pass of BBL with the 515 filter. Finally, using the 515 filter and 8mm adapter, I spot treat prominent individual spots.

Is there a number of Rejuvapen treatments that are recommended? Can you do too many?
How many Rejuvapen Treatments does it take?
Feb 16, 2023
The micro injuries created by Rejuvapen naturally stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. This creates healthier and tighter-looking skin and improves the appearance of fine lines , wrinkles , pores, and acne scars .The skin will continue to build collagen for up to six months. Patients will typically receive a series of 3 treatments 1 month apart for aging and then maintain with additional treatment 3-6 times per year for continued improvement.

When dealing with acne scars or...

Does a more aggressive Halo Laser treatment hurt more or is it just longer downtime?
What to expect from a Halo Laser Treatment
Feb 16, 2023
I feel the term "aggressive" is a bit overused in skincare today. "More" doesn't always mean "better" results and the pain-level truly varies depending on each patient's pain tolerance level. We properly numb our patients prior to the treatment to help keep them comfortable through the treatment.

HALO treatments should not only be customized for each patient's main area of concern (pigment, redness, wrinkles) but more importantly, in consideration of the patient's skin type. This laser...

Itchy, red, burning skin after microneedling at home?
Is micro-needling at home safe?
Dec 9, 2022
The irritation you are experiencing could be caused my multiple things or a combination of all things you are doing.

Although I do not advise home micro-needling, I would ask the question, how many times a week are you doing this treatment on yourself? What depth are you using? What other products are in your skincare routine?

After having surgery, skin can tend to dry out for a brief period so the combination of these things may not be helping your skin. It could be hurting it.

I would...

What is best for sun damage on chest: Fraxel vs Halo vs VBeam vs IPL?
Halo & BBL Combo Treatment
Dec 9, 2022
For treatments on the face and body, I always prefer a combination of HALO and BBL together.
With the BBL, I can bring the discoloration to the surface and treat redness. With using HALO, I can then clear out the remaining pigment and minimize redness. In addition to improvement of fine lines, poor texture of the skin.

After the initial treatment, maintain with Forever Young BBL 2-3 times a year for continued regeneration.

Can I Get Great Results with Hydra Facial Going Every Other Week X6
HydraFacial Treatments
May 21, 2021
When dealing with acne or discoloration, I also would recommend every other week for the 6 treatments. Allowing the skin to recover and not to cause excessive irritation to the skin. As long as you have the proper home care products to compliment the treatment.

If you are concerned with overall skin health, aging, dryness, or clogged pores then every 3-4 weeks is ideal. Again, having the proper skincare routine is key. Be sure you have a Vitamin C, Retinol and sunscreen as your basics.

Is BBL corrective different from Forever Young BBL?
The difference between BBL and Forever Young BBL
May 21, 2021
BBL corrective is used in the beginning to clear up the imperfections. Treating the overall pigmentation and redness in the skin. I will usually treat with this 3 times in three months. The energy is set a bit higher for this corrective treatment.

Forever Young BBL uses a lower energy for the first 200 pulses to work on the genetic expression in the skin. Also, some corrective passes can be done at this time also. Forever Young BBL is suggested 2-3 times a year.

Does BBL laser and Halo offer any benefits for good skin with no issues?
Best Pre-juvenation Treatment is Forever Young BBL
Mar 19, 2021
HALO is an amazing anti-aging treatment, especially when combined with BBL. However, with the description of your skin, you would really benefit from Forever Young BBL. Think if it as pre-juvenation.
Studies done with Stanford University show that routine Forever Young BBL (2-3 times a year) actually slows down the aging process. In fact it allows the genes that are responsible for aging to continue to "behave" younger, thereby keeping the skin looking better year after year. It is never...
Should I try BBL for acne?
BBL + Acne = Clearer Skin
Mar 19, 2021
Yes, BBL does work well for acne. Treatments need to be done more frequently to get the desired results. There are 2 wavelengths used in the BBL Clear treatment, the first (420) used to kill the bacteria on the skin that is causing the breakouts.

The second filter (560) will help to reduce the redness from the active breakouts on the skin.

It is possible that you may need 3-6 treatments 2-3 weeks apart.

How many Forever Young BBL maintenance treatments do I need?
Benefits of Forever Young BBL Treatment
Mar 19, 2021
Clinical studies from Stanford University show that treatment with Forever Young BBL at least twice a year can actually reverse the signs of aging. It is also beneficial to begin the treatments in your early 20's for "pre-rejuvenation" of the skin.
Best schedule for pigment? BBL alternating with microneedling and chemical peels. What’s best?
Best Schedule for Treating Pigment Issues
Mar 18, 2021
Using all of the modalities that you mention would be effective. However, I would suggest a way to get faster results and then maintain them.

Using a combination of HALO (hybrid laser) and BBL for you first treatment to help with pigment, redness, fine lines and pores. Following this procedure I would suggest scheduling Forever Young BBL 2-3 times per year. The Sciton® Forever Young BBL™ is a laser system that targets skin imperfections at a molecular level. No matter your age, it is us...

What is the best way to get rid of random age spots on the legs and arms?
BBL Treatment gets rid of random age spots on legs and arms
Mar 18, 2021
When spot treating pigment on the body I prefer to use BBL. Using an adapter to shrink the spot size to the size of the pigmented lesion allows us to target the pigment in that area specifically. The darker the lesion the better the result. The 515 filter used to treat the pigment will bring the pigment up to a coffee ground appearance and then will heal in about 7-10 days. Please note, it may take more than one treatment especially if the target was very light in color to begin with.
What do I do from acne on my upper arms that's come back again?
Keratosis Pilaris
Mar 18, 2021
From your photo this looks more like Keratosis Pilaris. It caused rough patched with small acne like bumps. Actually, this is a buildup of a protein (keratin).

You may try a product called Am-lactin, Lachydrin or Cerave SA on the arms daily. This will help break down the excess keratin on the skin.

Rejuvapen results for neck and face?
Rejuvapen Microneedling Benefits
Mar 18, 2021
Yes, Rejuvapen is a wonderful treatment for overall smoothing of the skin. Helping also with fine lines, pores, texture and scars.

As far as skin tightening and sagging skin I feel that realistic expectations would be that it may help slightly. Depending on the severity those may be better addressed with Microneedling RF such as Profound.
