Thanks for your question.Blepharoplasty is an excellent procedure for decreasing the amount of excess skin and and puffiness in the upper lid. The scars also heal quite well and are frequently difficult to see. After a complete examination, you plastic surgeon can tell you for sure, but removal of just the right amount of skin can produce very pleasing results.Best wishes!Regards,

Thanks for your question and photographs.It's not unusual to have a small opening after drains are removed, especially for a few days afterward.You do not appear to have an infection and as you have indicated, there is no drainage. As long as you are feeling well, I think you can keep an eye on it as it should close over the next few days. Thank you for your question.You appear to have a small split in your incision on the R thigh. There also appears to be a slightly increased amount of redness around your incisions, possibly representing an infection.Due to the area of the surgery, wound healing complications are not uncommon, however, having intense pain 2 weeks post surgery is unusual. I strongly suggest you see your Plastic Surgeon as soon as you can for further care.I wish you the best of luck in your recovery...

Thanks for your question.There are a few options to help with under eye lines. It's difficult to comment specifically without pictures, but in general, there are skin creams with under eye formulations, such as SkinMedica, which can be very successful in addressing fine lines. For more developed lines, a non-ablative resurfacing laser, such as Fraxel, may be helpful. There are a lot of factors which are at play.If the revision is small, it might not be a problem, especially if the revisions can be done under local anesthesia. If the revisions are large and require a large amount of surgery under general anesthesia, it might not be safe. Thanks for your question.It is definitely not recommended to fly so soon after major surgery. This combination of procedures requires a lot of anesthesia time and surgical dissection and there are significant risks associated with it. These risks include, but are not limited to, deep venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism as well as hematoma, or blood clot formation, in the TT area.Normally, I advise my patients not to fly for at least 2 weeks after surgery.I hope this helps...

Thanks for your question. The general answer is that these sutures generally do not come loose or break. Whether very slowly absorbable sutures are used or permanent sutures are used depends on your surgeon but even if absorbable ones are used, by the time they dissolve, the body has stabilized the repair and the sutures no longer are required to be present and nothing should change.The sutures used are very strong the likelihood of breaking is quite low.Best of luck!Regards,
