What type of rhinoplasty is right for me and rough estimate of cost? (Ph
Open tip rhinoplasty and dorsal hump reduction
Jul 8, 2022
Jul 8, 2022
Hi,
Thank you for your question and images.
Following consultation, examination and potential CT scans it would be worthwhile considering open tip rhinoplasty surgery to address your nasal tip droop, create a supra tip break and to undertake the dorsal hump reduction.
The aesthetic outcome can produce a smaller nose which is less projected.
I would recommend clinical review by a surgeon qualified and experienced in rhinoplasty surgery so that a management plan can be tailored to your…

What is the minimum hemoglobin level preferable for rhinoplasty?
Pre operative haemoglobin level
Jul 8, 2022
Jul 8, 2022
Hi,
In order to safely undergo elective surgery, all parameters including your haemoglobin should be optimised. The reason is that while rhinoplasty surgery is not typically associated with significant blood loss, should you bleed (typically in the context of osteotomies), your baseline haemoglobin will be low and your ability to tolerate the blood loss will be compromised.
In general terms, haemoglobin in excess of 10 would be considered acceptable but this should be determined by your…

I have a lump on my left side of my nose. What is it and how do i fix it
Management of left nasal lump
Jul 8, 2022
Jul 8, 2022
Hi,
The lump on your nose may be structural (such as cartilage) or soft tissue in nature ( typically fatty tissue) but the fact that it appears to be growing suggests that potential tumours (whilst uncommon) should be excluded. I would recommend consulting your General Practitioner in the first instance for a referral to a Plastic Surgeon experienced in both rhinoplasty and facial tumour resection surgery for consultation, scans and potential tissue diagnosis to establish the basis of the…

Do I need a revision for my inverted U shape?
Managing a wide nasal bridge post rhinoplasty
Jul 8, 2022
Jul 8, 2022
Hi,
The bases for the appearance of your nasal bridge will depend on when your procedure was performed and what technique was used, in particular if osteotomies were performed.
In general terms, initial swelling after primary rhinoplasty surgery can be due to oedema (fluid in the soft tissues) or scar formation. These factors will typically improve over the course of 6 to 12 months and sometimes even over 18 months. At NorthEast Plastic Surgery, we therefore advise patients during weekly…

Rhinoplasty surgery with tip de-projection
Jul 8, 2022
Jul 8, 2022
Hi,
Open tip rhinoplasty surgery is a well recognised technique which can address tip droop and over projection without the creation of a piggy nose or disproportionate width of the nasal tip.
In circumstances where poor tip projection is due to insufficient cartilagenous support of the tip, the use of cartilage grafts is also a well recognised technique.
Once you seek the opinion of a qualified and experienced surgeon, these factors as they specifically pertain to your anatomy can be…

Breast lift with fat graft surgery and abdominoplasty surgery
Oct 24, 2020
Oct 24, 2020
Hi,
Thank you for your question and images but the lower part of your abdomen is unfortunately not visible. You are a good candidate for breast lift surgery with autologous fat grafting of the upper poles if you wish to augment your upper poles and cleavage without the issue of implant maintenance. While your fat graft can be harvested from your abdomen and flanks, if you have skin excess along with the visible stretch marks on your images, you may wish to consider abdominoplasty surgery to…
