This is a 37 year old female who presented to the office with concerns about the size of her earlobes after using gauge earrings for many years. On exam, her earlobes were pendulous and had been expanded to a size that was disproportionate to the size of the rest of her ear. She underwent closure of the gauge earing holes under local anesthesia. She did well after surgery and at 8 months after surgery her earlobes are an appropriate size and her scars are maturing nicely.
