Am I a good candidate for rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty to make nose smaller...
Jul 9, 2020
From the photos, you appear to be a great candidate for rhinoplasty. The nose could be made smaller overall, while taking down the bump and refining the tip. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty specialist for consultation.
Do I have alar retraction?
Alar retraction...
Jul 9, 2020
Sometimes, it's the angle of the camera, but yes, the nose can change after rhinoplasty. Sometimes the cartilage support is not good enough and the nostril rim comes up. Usually it can be improved with revision rhinoplasty. Be sure to see a specialist for consultation.
Alar base reduction only for flared nostrils?
Alarplasty without rhinoplasty...
Jul 9, 2020
The short answer is yes, you can just do alarplasty to improve the flaring of the nostrils. It is important to have a good exam, though, because if the tip is really lacking in support, then the result will not be as good when you do things like smile. In that case, it would be best to do it all together. If the tip has good support, then an alarplasty under local anethesia is fine.
Will filler fix crooked nose, or should I consider a revision?
Filler after revision...
Jul 9, 2020
Having a filler placed can be an excellent way to improve asymmetries not corrected by rhinoplasty. Start with a small amount of filler that can dissolve like Juvederm. If you like the way it looks, then Silicone can be injected to give you a permanent result. Be sure that your injector is very experienced at doing this.
Can a dmd do rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty experience...
Jul 9, 2020
Ultimately, it is the experience that makes the best rhinoplasty surgeon. OMFS surgeons have a lot of training regarding facial anatomy, but if that surgeon does not do rhinoplasty all of the time, the chances for a great result will be lower. Try to see if the surgeon has a lot of photos in the office that you can see. Look to see if there are a lot of reviews from patients about rhinoplasty. Just because a surgeon is good at one procedure does not mean he or she will be good at ...
Is a neck lift my only option?
Neck bands...
Jun 30, 2020
You can always try to inject botox into the bands. If that doesn't work, then a necklift will be your best option to have a long lasting nice result. Minimal procedures give minimal results. Be sure to see a facial specialist for consultation.
Is it possible to get your dorsal hump shaved without breaking the nose if the bump is very slight? (
Dorsal hump...
Jun 30, 2020
If the dorsal bump is very small, it can be shaved without performing osteotomies. This is usually determined during surgery. If shaving the bump down creates an open roof, then the bones will need to be brought in. Doing this will not affect the tip, you may consider doing some tipwork at the same time if the droop bothers you.
What can I do about my thick nose?
Rhinoplasty to make nose thinner...
Jun 30, 2020
From the photos, you are a good candidate for rhinoplasty. It is important to have realistic expectations because the skin is thick. But with a rhinoplasty specialist perfoming the procedure, your nose should be able to become thinner by narrowing the bridge and tip.
Looking to get a nose job for a bulbous nose, what do you suggest for the best results?
Rhinoplasty to slim tip...
Jun 30, 2020
From your photos, you appear to be a good candidate for rhinoplasty. The cartilages of the tip can be made thinner and better supported, while the skin of the tip is thinned at the same time. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty specialist for consultation.
Septorhinoplasty Mid 2019. I am not happy with the outcome. Should I consider a revision Would it aff
Revision rhinoplasty...
Jun 24, 2020
From the photos, it appears that you are a good candidate for rhinoplasty. Your tip is currently a bit droopy and that can be improved with revision rhinoplasty. Projecting the tip better will also make the tip appear thinner and better defined. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty specialist for consultation.
What are my options with rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty to change shape...
Jun 24, 2020
From your photos, you appear to be a good candidate for rhinoplasty. No one can guarantee that you can get the nose you showed, but we can certainly work in that direction. Be sure to seek out a rhinoplasty specialist that can do computer imaging at the same time as the consult to give you idea of what can be done.
Can there be a huge difference in results between two qualified surgeons?
Renowned vs. well reviewed...
Jun 24, 2020
Renowned does not always mean you will get great results. Maybe he or she is known more for something else rather than facelift surgery. Well reviewed doesn't give you that guarantee either. The reviews should be specific for deep plane facelift and each surgeon should have many photos of deep plane facelift to review. Then you have to figure out which one you feel more comfortable with. If the first one gets tremendous facelift results and is a great person, the extra money may be worth it....
Is it dangerous to go under general anesthesia (for another surgery) during a rhinoplasty recovery?
Another surgery after rhinoplasty...
Jun 24, 2020
As long as you are in good health, it should be no problem to undergo another procedure in 1 - 2 months. Be sure you discuss it with your rhinoplasty surgeon, however.
Am I a candidate for a rhinoplasty to make my nose smaller and balance out my features?
Rhinoplasty...
Jun 14, 2020
Based on your photos, you appear to be a good candidate for rhinoplasty. The bridge can be brought down a bit and the tip made thinner, while keeping the result looking natural. The first step is to find a couple rhinoplasty specialist to consult with who can do computer imaging at the same time. Then you can see how an improved nose would affect your face overall.
Is it possible to get polly beak deformity and nose thinning from a rhinoplasty?
Polly beak deformity...
Jun 14, 2020
Polly beak deformity most commonly occurs in a nose with poor tip support and projection, so yes, rhinoplasty can cause this. An experienced rhinoplasty surgeon is careful to avoid this situation however. When the patient has thicked skin, it can be harder to get the projection needed. The best thing to do is to consult with a few surgeons that can provide computer imaging of what they can do.
