Should I be worried about the swelling in my ear? 1 week post-op.
Any chance you are allergic to Bacitracin?
Jul 24, 2017
Were you using Bacitracin? You may be allergic to it. The other possibility is compression from your facial garment preventing fluid drainage. Speak to your Plastic Surgeon about these options. And continue close follow up with them. Good luck!
Is there a non-surgical way to fix a nose-covered smile?
A Nose Covered Smile
Jul 22, 2017
Hello Houston. I love how you’ve referenced it: “a nose covered smile”! That’s quite creative. There might be something non-invasive for you to do. There’s a little muscle at the base of your nose that might be over-active. It’s called the Depressor Septi muscle, and it resides on both sides of your columella – that little piece of skin between your nostrils. No recommend online is as good as an in-person physical exam, so I would see a facial plastic…

Surgery is the gold standard
Aug 22, 2016
Hello:Thank you for your question. We certainly have a lot of noninvasive options today. Ultherapy for the neck, combined with fillers such as Voluma for the cheeks, Kybella to reduce fat under the chin, botox for wrinkles, and finally lasers and light based treatments for the skin. But surgery (facelift + neck liposuction + blepharoplasty) will give you the best and most long lasting results, without question. Surgical results typically last for 10 years, and studies have…
Are pixie ears considered acceptable consequences after a face lift?
These are pixie ears
Aug 20, 2016
Hello:Thank you for submitting your question, and I’m sorry you are having difficulty with healing. Some of the other esteemed surgeons have stated that it’s difficult to tell if you have pixie ear deformity in the photos. But if you click on the individual photos, you can see much more of the earlobe and it’s relationship to the cheek, and you do have pixie ears on both sides. One good thing, it is very treatable. I recommend you have a discussion with your…
Has neck lift and platysmaplasty surgery changed over time?
The science of neck lifts have progressed significantly
Aug 20, 2016
Hi Lisa:Thanks for your answer. My reply is a resounding Yes! Our understanding of how the face and neck ages, as well as what anatomical changes occur, has progressed substantially over the last 20 years. The technique has been refined, we have many more options, and recovery is much quicker. Make sure you interview at least 3 surgeons, bring a friend or family member, take notes, ask to see at least 10 before and after pictures, and finally ask the surgeon if you…
How do I get rid of these rolls?
Might want to start with Liposuction
Aug 19, 2016
Hello! Thanks so much for submitting your answer. I think it’s tough to completely judge by the photographs, but you might want to start with submental (under the chin) liposuction. It would be good to have an evaluation by either a facial plastic surgeon, or a plastic surgeon in your area. The reason would be to assess the amount of skin laxity, and to determine if an additional procedure (such as a neck lift) is necessary.Good luck!
To the doctors with an eye for beauty: What procedures would make me look better and younger? (Pho
You have great bone structure!
Aug 15, 2016
Hello: I think you are on the right track. I would recommend:

1. Neck liposuction with platysmaplasty to contour the neck

2. Upper blepharoplasty + lower tranjconjunctival blepharoplasty

3. Deep plane facelift (vertical lift) 4. Endonasal (no-incision) Rhinoplasty – file down the hump and bring the tip up by 10 degrees with dome binding sutures. The nose is slightly deviated to the right also, so that could be improved.

I think you are a…
