Hi -I’m so sorry you are dealing with this. There are a couple of options from topical to non-invasive procedures. Fractora (which is micro-needling with radiofrequency) has had great success with treating active acne and also scarring related to acne. It can also be used to treat hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). It may be a good long-term option to consider. Topically, there are some skin care products that can help with the pigmentation. Fractora does give good results for skin tightening over several sessions. The only complication I see is that we typically don’t treat over tattoos because they can change/blur, etc. Forma is another option for skin tightening that you can discuss with a provider for skin tightening that could be used to treat the skin that is tattooed. Usually the treatments are above the areas of dissection for lymph nodes. If your treatment area is the inner/outer thigh, then you take just a little longer to see results, in my opinion, but the treatment should be successful!

Sometimes it takes up to a full two weeks to have the full effects of a Botox treatment. I’d wait another week, and if you still have unwanted movement, then follow-up with your provider to discuss. Best wishes!

Yes ma’am, it is normal to see the needle marks and have some scabbing. Remember to keep your skin moisturized. I have had patients who have some swelling of the facial skin after the procedure and cool compresses have helped. Follow the post-procedure treatment protocol your provider gave you, and all of these should resolve. Consider discussing hydroquinone cream with your provider.
