Statement: Dr. Roy A. David is an award-winning, double board-certified facial plastic surgeon based in the La Jolla area of San Diego, California. While he specializes in rhinoplasty (including revision rhinoplasty), facelifts, neck lifts, eyelid surgery, and hair transplant surgery, Dr. David also has expertise in ear surgery, facial fat transfer, liquid facelifts with dermal fillers, and skin resurfacing.

Over his nearly two decades in practice, Dr. David has helped tens of thousands of patients achieve dramatic yet natural-looking results.

Raised in Northern California, Dr. David moved to Israel with his family as a teenager, where he served for three years in an elite paratrooper unit. During his military service, he gained experience as a medic and developed an interest in becoming a doctor.

After moving back to the United States, Dr. David received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, one of the top medical schools in the country. He went on to complete a five-year surgical residency in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at the University of Illinois in Chicago. There, Dr. David discovered his passion for facial plastic surgery and mastered the open structure and closed rhinoplasty approaches. After his residency, he completed a fellowship at the prestigious Rousso Facial Plastic Surgery Clinic in Birmingham, Alabama.

Dr. David is board-certified by both the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

Voted 2020 Top Facial Plastic Surgeon by San Diego Magazine, Dr. David is recognized as a leading specialist in his field. He has also been selected as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor every year since 2004.

When not working at his private practice, Dr. David volunteers his time as a clinical instructor at the University of California, San Diego Department of Surgery.
