The ARTAS works by using a robotic arm and comprised interface to dissect out follicular units for transplanting by hand. It can also make recipient sites to place the grafts into. It does not place the grafts yet.

The ARTAS will not experience fatigue and will create accurate and precise dissections repeatedly for larger cases where fatigue can be a big factor.

For smaller cases in experienced hands both will provide excellent results.

The ARTAS is FDA cleared for men. While women were not studied in the 510K we have successfully transplanted women using this device. More importantly, you will need a complete work up for the cause of your hair loss fist to determine if the ARTAS is the best device or if transplant would predictably be good option for you.
