What kind of facelift do I need?
Facelift Type

If you’re interested in a durable and natural facelift, I strongly believe the deep plane facelift is an excellent option. This technique releases the deeper tissues that are actually descending with time as well as key tether points in the face. In addition there is no tension with closure, which provides an impactful result without any pulled appearance. The main areas it addresses are midface, jawline, and neck. I hope this helps and best of luck in your journey.
What kind of facelift is best for a proactive 35yr old wanting to prevent nasolabial wrinkles? (P

I appreciate your thoughts on being proactive and forgoing too much time on fillers. That being said, I do think they have their place along with fat transfer to restore volume and maintain even facelift results. That aside, I believe the deep plane face and neck lift is the most natural and durable option that addresses the true reasons for facial aging by releasing the tissues and not applying any tension on closure. A midline neck lift would also be an excellent option for you, which...
Does this turbinate reduction procedure look like a sub-mucous resection?
Turbinate Reduction

If the Xomed microdebrider was used for the turbinate reduction, then the majority of what it accomplishes is removing erectile soft tissue within the turbinate that prevents them from swelling and becoming as large as before. There is a very thin bone within the turbinate as well, which can be also be minimized with this device in the process but that is not the purpose. This bone is typically addressed by out-fracturing the bone gently with another instrument to open up the airway after...
Is a corticosteroid nasal spray safe to use prior to rhinoplasty?
Flonase prior to Rhinoplasty

Oct 4, 2023
Great question and every surgeon has somewhat varying opinions on exactly when to stop steroid nasal sprays prior to surgery. Typically, I recommend stopping these 1 month prior to surgery to avoid nasal dryness and bleeding during and after surgery. Flonase can be taken daily for years without any systemic side effects so continuous use is reasonable for treatment of allergies otherwise.
6 months after septorhinoplasty. Are these my final results?
Healing Phases

Great question and the truth is there is often a marked difference between 6 months and 12 months post surgery particularly on frontal view with narrowing. Taking standardized photos is the best way to fully appreciate these changes and can typically be done during each visit with your surgeon. Hope this helps and be patient as I do think you’ll see further improvement.
