Very good question and concern. Back in the 1980s plastic surgeon were aggressively removing buccal fat to shape the face. However, these patients were noted to develop hollowing in their cheek area as they age. Nowadays, we remove just the tail of the buccal fat pad, which improves the curves in your face and should not have any consequences as you age. This procedure is done in clinic under local anesthesia with no downtime. Hope that was helpful.

The best option to lower the upper lip would be a procedure to disinsert two small muscle called depressor septic nasi. This is procedure done using local anesthesia in the clinic with quick recovery.

Hello, It is hard to evaluate the quality and thickness of the skin on a photo. Having said that, based on what I see, I do not think your skin is too thin for rhinoplasty. Different skin quality and thickness should be taken into consideration during the rhinoplasty procedure to avoid unwanted outcomes. Hope that was helpful

Hello. Pain can happen but unusual as the bone is still in the healing process. Regarding bleeding, probably you have an exposed artery from the trauma that bleeds from time to time. I strongly recommend you get evaluated by an expert.
Do I have a good cheekbones for buccal removal?

Hello! This is a great question that I get asked by my patients. The buccal fat pad, also know as Bichat fat pad, is completely different and in different layer than the malar fat. Having said that, reduction of the buccal fat should not affect the malar fat volume or location. Hope that was helpful.
