Should I get upper bleph/brow lift or will I risk looking worse and draw more attention to my already
Proceed with caution
Oct 25, 2014
I tend to agree with several of the other respondents. As it is, under normal circumstances a combined blepharoplasty and brow lift require careful planning and consideration. Given the presence of a nerve palsy, it may be wiser to address the brow before undergoing a blepharoplasty. A recent presentation at the American Society of Ophthalmic and Plastic Surgery even suggested that long standing facial nerve palsy may lead to a shortening of the upper lid skin on the involved side. In short,…
Can Dysport Result in Permanent Damage to Orbital Septum?
Festoons are possible
Jan 28, 2012
In addition to what has already been proposed, one common problem following the injection of botulinum toxin can be the formation of festoons or fluid pockets underneath the eyelid. The normal muscle tension of the orbicularis muscle may hide this tendency under normal circumstances. However with the loss of tone, any skin or muscle laxity is likely to reveal itself and may result in the formation of festoons. On a positive note, your condition should self-resolve as the toxin wears off…
Is Jowl Swelling After Blepharoplasty Normal?
Blood can travel down
Sep 30, 2011
The response you are seeing is not unusual. Very often blood and fluid can travel down the face. This does not mean your surgery was in anyway unsuccessful. If these findings do not resolve soon you should consult your physician. All the best
Can Visible Browlift Scars Be Treated?
Scars can be dimished but rarely erased
Sep 27, 2011
The scar can certainly be dimished but you are always taking a chance with possibe further scarring. Tatoo and hair transplant can help assuming you would want your hairline to be lower. A new incision with meticulous repair has a very good chance of improving your appearance. It would be critical to follow the surgey with adjunct treatments such as steroids, IPL etc to prevent the formation of a new scar – Best of luck
Lower Bleph with Incision – Can This Cause Eyeball to Move?
Blepharoplasty can change eyeball position
Sep 27, 2011
The answer to you question requires significanlty more information regarding the type of surgery performed. Generally blepharoplasty MAY change the shape of the eyeldis but should not cause a signficant change in the position fo the eyeball. what you are describing can happen if the eyelid ligaments (canthal ligamnets) were also tightened causing the eye to shift upwards. In general this can resolve slowly over time. Alternatively the points of attachement can be revised to allow for a…
3 Weeks Post Bleph Left Eye Has Mild Ptosis – Wait or Revise?
better to wait to see if ptosis resolves
Sep 27, 2011
In general it is best to wait several months to see if the ptosis is secondary to a structural change or post operative swelling. Very often the swelling can cause temprary ptosis which is self limited. However if the ptosis was not present for the first week following surgery, it may be adviseable for you recontact your surgeon to see if any further assessement is necessary.
Best Specialist for Ptosis Repair?
Ptosis repair can resolve your symptoms
Dec 23, 2010
Your description sounds like a classic ptosis. However there are number of factors you need to consider first. such as : (1)  Your age. (If you are young, you need to consider causes other than levator dehiscence), (2) laterality (Is this on one side or both sides?), (3) Onset (How quickly did this come about?), (4) variability (is the ptosis constant throughout the day)

The good news is that a lot can be done once you've undergone a careful workup. Oculoplastic surgeons are…
