How long should I wait to exercise/do hot yoga after treatment on my face?
Post C02
Apr 29, 2019
Hello, Great question. C02 is generally done at an aggressive setting, generally we recommend patient to avoid exercise including hot yoga for 7-10 days. It is important to follow the provider's post care instructions. For specific questions I would recommend to ask your physician as they will know the settings used. Best of Luck!
Follow-up question: Maybe I need a more aggressive approach for my smoker lines' and scar?
Microneedling for scars
Apr 29, 2019
Hello, Great question and thank you for sharing your picture.  A combination of treatments would be best for your concerns including microneedling and filler. I would  recommend a series of microneedling (3-4) treatments with PRP and possibly maintenance treatments. Also, the use of low dose retinol at home every other night to help with skin texture and appearance. For a more aggressive treatment, recommend C02 treatment with a downtime of 7-1o days. I would recommend a full con...
How much downtime can I expect for C02 laser around the eyes only?
C02 around the eyes
Apr 29, 2019
Great question. The length of downtime depends on the settings and your discussion with your provider performing the laser. Normally, downtime can be 7-10 days or up to 2 weeks however this has various factors such as: patient skin type, provider settings, and  treatment plan.  For any social event, I would recommend 3 weeks time to allow for proper healing. Yes, there is downtime however it's a great treatment for your concerns of crow's feet and fine lines. In our office we perform many C...

Microneedling for Acne Scars
Apr 29, 2019
Hello,I prefer a combination technique by injecting PRP (platelet rich plasma) then microneedling the skin on the same treatment date. With the extra PRP, I use it as a serm to further penetrate into the skin through the open microchannels caused by microneedling. PRP  has many benefits including potent growth factors  which helps collagen stimulation and productions. I recommend using Vitamin C and hyaluronic acid post microneedling, as the antioxidants will help with redness and furth...
How should I decide on a microneedling treatments for my acne scars?
Microneedling for Acne
Apr 29, 2019
Hello,Microneedling would be a great option for acne scars, especially that you do no longer have current acne according to the picture. Microneedling is going to help build collagen, improve the appearance, and texture of your skin. I would recommend at least two PRP microneedling treatments for the deeper scars. You will most likely need 4 treatments to start 6 weeks apart and maintenance treatments every 6 months. Acne scar improvements are best with maintenance and right skin regimen a...

Treatments for Acne Scars

Great question! There are numerous treatments can help with acne scars and our approach is appropriate skin care and treatments. It is important to get a full consultation in office to have a thorough evaluation. Acne scars need a combination of facials, possible peels, lasers such as Morpheus 8 and microneedling with PRP. Treatments require a series of each, and upon consultation you would have a better idea of the appropriate treatment plan. Best of luck!

Hello, Great questions. Unfortunately the idea of dermal rollers are great however they are not a controlled system and unevenness of pressure and depth can be more damaging to skin. Microneedling with PRP is great! One of my favorite treatments, it is a controlled system and the depth is always equal and you will see even better results with PRP. Great question. It is difficult to address the question without a photo, results would be determined on the severity of your acne scars, skin color, and skin type. However in general acne scars do require numerous treatments of fractionated laser and combination treatments.  After your treatment you should expect redness immediately post treatment, then minimal redness for 2 days. Results will be subtle at first as the deeper layers will improve as you continue to do more treatments, re...
