After injection of the forehead or eyelids with Botox, ptosis can occur from a droop of the eyelid or heaviness of the brow. Time is key to allow the neurotoxin to fully disappear. Additionally, the Botox may have uncovered a need for eyelid or brow surgery due to a heavy brow or eyelids. With an in person consultation, we can assess further.

You can dissolve the Belotero with Hylenex (hyaluronidase) or give the swelling some more time to come down. Belotero is typically a less hydrophilic filler and associated with minimal swelling.

You have what appears to be descent of the malar fat pads and tear trough hollowness. Nonsurgical treatment with fillers are helpful adjuncts to augment these areas. It would also be worthwhile to consider fat grafting to your mid face and micro fat grafting around the eyes to improve the appearance.

With regards to your question about injections improving the appearance of this area, I would say that Restylane and Belotero are reasonable options to improve the under eye hollows and mask the appearance of eye bags. With regards to the dark color, some clincians have found that laser treatments or chemical peels can help. For a longer lasting solution eye bag surgery with a chemical peel or laser provides nice results.

I would consider waiting until 2 month for postoperative swelling to subside. There are different techniques to ptosis repair and would discuss these with your surgeon. Ptosis can be frustrating to a patient and it is important that we have a healthy preoperative discussion on risks, benefits, and the need for additional surgery prior to the surgery.

Temporal brow lifting can be accomplished through different techniques. When done nonsurgically, neurotoxin or filler can be used to lift the brows without surgery. Surgical options include internal browpexy, direct temporal browplasty, and endoscopic browplasty. I would recommend an in person evaluation or skype evaluation with an eyelid expert.
