Will blepharoplasty alone leave me with uneven look?
Jul 13, 2020
You do have asymmetric upper eyelid folds, which is not uncommon. I agree that you would be a good candidate for upper eyelid blepharoplasty. You do need an in person consultation to check the height of your lids and brows without the weight of your skin on your lids. Best to see an eyelid expert in your area.
How do I reduce these terrible lumps and irregularities from my face? They were caused by Sculptra (
Lumps after Filler
May 11, 2020
Massage and injections of kenalog/5FU can help reduce the lumps. Best to see your injector or another experienced injector who can follow your response. If they do not go away after a year or so, then the only way is to remove them surgically. If they regress some, then perhaps adding volume around the lumps can help disguise them.Best of luck!
What is wrong with my eyes and how can it be fixed?
Eyelid Asymmetry
May 11, 2020
You need an in person examination with an eyelid expert to address your concerns. From some of your photos, it appears that you may have some eyelid asymmetry (ptosis) and mild lower lid retraction. Often the eyes can appear to “bulge” from lid position and a negative vector of the cheek. Best to see an eyelid specialist who can also evaluate the position of the globe relative to the orbit and the ocular motility.Best of luck!
What is the best non surgical fix for my dark circles?
Dark Circles
May 8, 2020
Based on your photos, you would be a good candidate for lower eyelid blepharoplasty with fat transposition. This would get rid of the shadowing created by the excess fat and relative hallow beneath it. Fillers to the tear trough and midface are a non-surgical option. Best to see an eyelid expert.
How do I fix my eyes’ alignment without surgery? What is my condition?
May 8, 2020
I agree you need to see a strabismus surgeon. Often surgery is performed to realign the eyes if you have double vision or significant cosmetic concerns. Best of luck!
Which eyelid surgery would be the best for my eyes? (Photo’s)
Eyelid surgery
May 8, 2020
You would benefit from a blepharoplasty which removes excess skin from the upper eyelids. This would give you an eyelid platform and allow your eyes to show more. You may also benefit from a brow procedure (chemical lift from botox, brow fat pad reduction). Best to see an eyelid expert in your area.Best of luck!
What are the different techniques in eyelid surgery and which one lasts the longest?
Upper eyelid surgery
May 6, 2020
You would be a good candidate for removing excess skin from the upper eyelid. The incision is placed in your natural eyelid crease and typically heals very well. The key to avoid looking hallow is to avoid over-resection of the fat in the eyelids. Best to see an eyelid expert in your area.
Best of luck!
Is it possible to be relived of the winking when you have Marcus Gunn syndrome on the upper left eye
Marcus Gunn Jaw Winking
May 6, 2020
Marcus Gunn Jaw Winking is a form of congenital synkinetic neurogenic ptosis. Essentially you get a miscommunication of nerves that innervate the muscle that raises the eyelid and the jaw. Typically this is a unilateral ptosis that improves with jaw movements. The key to treatment is to determine the amount of ptosis and severity of the wink. If the wink is relatively mild (as seen by the lid height not moving much with jaw movement) and the ptosis is significant, you can tighten the muscle …
Are my eyelids droopy? Do I need to perform surgery on them?
Eyelid asymmetry
May 4, 2020
Judging from your photos, it does appear you ptosis of the left upper eyelid. When the eyelid is low, it is common for the brain to tell the eyebrow to lift in order to help try and raise the eyelid. There are numerous causes of ptosis and I recommend you see an eyelid expert in your area.Best of luck!
Should I get upper blepharoplasty? What are my options?
Eyelid surgery
May 3, 2020
Difficult to tell from your photos. You need an in person consultation to determine if you have redundant eyelid skin/fat and/or lacrimal gland prolapse. Lacrimal gland prolapse is when the gland that produces tears protrudes in the lateral aspect of the upper eyelid and creates a bulge. This can be repositioned at the same time as an upper eyelid blepharoplasty.I recommend seeing an eyelid expert in your area.
Sudden-onset deep under eye circles. What are the best options to handle this?
Under eye dark circles
May 3, 2020
Dark circles under the eyes typically are due to a combination of skin texture/pigment changes, volume loss, and ligamentous/bony changes of the midface. The under eye skin is so thin that the underlying blood vessels and muscle can shine through. Any vascular congestion (recent surgery, allergies, ect…) can often make this worse. Also weakening of the structures that hold the orbital fat back can cause fat prolapse and create a shadow that worsens the dark circles.Judging from your…

Dark Circles
May 2, 2020
This is due to a combination of things including ethnicity/genetics, skin pigmentation, and shadowing from volume loss in the cheek. To improve this area you would need skin care treatment (bleaching agents, peels, laser) to improve the texture and pigmentation. You would also benefit from volume in the cheek and tear trough to decrease the shadowing. This is typically done with filler. Best to see an expert in your area.Best of luck!

Eyelid asymmetry
May 1, 2020
It appears you have ptosis of the right upper eyelid causing the brow on that side to raise higher in attempt to help you raise the eyelid. This can be fixed with a surgery, often one done on the inside of the eyelid to avoid a scar. Best to see an eyelid expert in your area.Best of luck!
I’m a 24 year old female I have dark circles what is the reason? What are the treatments?
Dark Circles
May 1, 2020
Dark circles under your eyes can be caused from a variety of factors including the skin, subcutaneous tissue and vasculature, and bony structure. In your case, you appear to have some vascular congestion likely related to your chronic allergies. Because the eyelid skin is so thin, the vasculature of the subdermal plexus (nextwork of blood vessels under your skin) and the orbicularis oculi muscle (muscle that surrounds the eyelids) shine through the skin. You also have some shadowing from…

I think you would be a good candidate for filler to add volume to the midface and tear trough. This will help reduce the shadowing. You would also benefit from improving the pigmentation and texture of the skin. This can be done with a combination of creams, peels, and lasers. Best to see an eyelid expert in your area.
