Ptosis revision needed?
Give it a little more time
Jan 4, 2019
I see that you had the surgery through the skin.  Wait at least a month to evaluate the results of your surgery.  If it is still a little low, it can be fine tuned with a simple office procedure from behind the eyelid, without needing another skin incision. Looks good so far. Good luck.
Do eye exercises help ptosis even by just a little?
Exercise probably won’t work
Jul 12, 2016
Usually, true ptosis must be corrected with a surgical procedure. However, there is a simple way for you to tell if exercises might work for you. Take a good picture first, then try some exercises and do them regularly for several months. Then take another picture. If there is no improvement, you’ve proven to yourself that exercise doesn’t work. Then if the ptosis still bugs you, look for an experienced oculoplastic surgeon.
Upper Eyelid Surgery. Any suggestions?
The amount of skin and fat removed depends on the experience of the surgeon.
Jul 7, 2016
Patients commonly have the comment that their appearance varies at different times during the day, monthly, or sometimes for no apparent reason.  Most of the time the varying appearance of the upper lids is due to varying eyebrow position.  If that seems to be the case, I often either inject Botox to the forehead about a week before surgery, or at the time of surgery inject local anesthesia to the forehead to negate the effect of forehead muscle contraction causing variable eyebrow p…
Is it possible to lengthen the eyes just a little?
Yes, it is possible
Jul 6, 2016
I assume you mean is it possible to widen horizontally the palpebral aperture (the opening between the eyelids.)  This can be performed by means of an internal canthoplasty, with a small incision in the upper lids and approaching the lateral cantonal tendon for tightening through a short subcutaneous tunnel. Alternatively, it can be done directly through an small incision just outside the lateral canthus, which heals very nicely. Both techniques involve tightening, shortening or redirecting …
5 Weeks Post-Op Blepharoplasty – Still Has Bumps That Are A Bit Painful & Look Like Raised Keloids –
Suture cysts vs inflammatory granulomas
Jul 6, 2016
It looks as if you may have a few suture cysts, which are formed when epithelial cells migrate down the tunnel made by the passage of the suture material. They are common and if they don’t resolve by themselves can usually easily be treated – either by “de-roofing” them or opening the tunnel manually 9or as I do, with the CO2 laser), or by injecting them in some cases with a small amount of steroid.  True keloids have not been reported in the thin skin of the eyelid. Be assured that you …

Lower eyelid skin pigmentation
Jun 20, 2016
Although your photos could be of better quality and magnification, it appears as if you have some bulging that could be due to excess lower lid fat. This can cause shadowing and can be made worse with the slight shallowness that people get in the naojugal groove (shallowness between the eyelid and the nose). I agree that it appears that you might benefit from either fat removal or repositioning.  You also seem to have some hyper pigmentation of the skin.  The result is variable, but you m…
Why are my eyes different sizes?
Eyelid appearance
Jun 20, 2016
Thanks for the question.  As you can see from these responses, there are many causes of a different appearance between the two eyelids. Often this can be addressed with eyelid, eyebrow or orbital surgery. I agree with the recommendation to see an oculoplastic surgeon if one eye seems bigger than the other. Good luck.
