I am sorry that you are having this issue, but it is probably normal. Lesions will darken crust, then be naturally shed by the skin in seven to twenty-one days (7-21). Since only active hair follicles are affected, only a fraction of the total hair follicles are destroyed during any one treatment. Usually 5-8 treatments are necessary to achieve the desired result. Mild swelling or redness may occur after Laser hair reduction treatment, but usually resolves in 2-3 days. Shaving should be okay if you have no redness or swelling. Until redness has resolved, it is recommended to avoid applying cosmetics to treated areas. Avene products are excellent for treating post treatment inflammation.

You are correct in that they will never completely go away, but their appearance can be greatly reduced. I have had good success with diminishing the appearance of stretch marks that are less than 10mm in width using the Icon 1540 Fractional Non-Ablative laser. It usually takes 2-5 treatments at 4-6 weeks apart. I recommend a consult with an experienced practitioner. Good luck!
