SculpSure is ideal for clients with a body mass index (BMI) less than 30. However, there should be what we call "pinchable fat" versus loose skin. SculpSure does not provide skin tightening so for optimal results, it is best to avoid the treatment on loose skin, diastasis, or hernias.
Am I a good candidate for CoolSculpting or SculpSure if I am 30 lbs overweight?

SculpSure is ideal for clients with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or less but we can certainly treat clients with higher BMIs depending on the area of the body. For example, the abdomen may not be ideal but the chin, inner thighs, or arms may work very well.

SculpSure is FDA approved for treatment of the abdominal fat. Each treatment should eliminate up to 24% of the fat cells in that area. Generally, a minimum of 2 treatments is recommended to see noticeable change. You would likely need 6-8 frames/applicators.

It is recommended to have two SculpSure treatments to the area chosen. A second treatment may be done 5-6 weeks after the first and final results are seen 12 weeks after each treatment. It is recommended to stay well hydrated, exercise regularly, and make good dietary choices. However, unless one gains weight, he/she should still see results after 2 treatments.

Although most clients do not have any side effects or downtime after SculpSure, some clients do experience tenderness or soreness after the treatment. It is also possible to have referred pain to another area so if you had your flanks treated, the general area around your hips could feel tender as well.
I got SculpSure done yesterday and experienced a lot of pain. Is this normal?

Most clients we treat are able to tolerate the intervals of mild discomfort associated with SculpSure. However, pain is very personal and can depend on a variety of factors. For SculpSure, there tends to be more reports of worse discomfort just prior to menstruation and when clients are dehydrated. The laser level is completely adjustable though and your provider should be able to customize your treatment.
