I generally recommend that patients try to sleep on their back for the first eight weeks while also wearing a supportive bra at all times except showering. Side sleeping will increase unwanted selling and on rare occasion may actually alter the position of a breast implant following a recent surgery. I usually have patients start breast massage about 2-3 weeks after breast augmentation. At first the massage is fairly gentle and within the limits of comfort.
